Meeting fellow forum members

Diana and I have just returned from our week holiday and wanted to thank those forum members we met on Thursday at the Marina Cafe. We spent a couple of lovely hours with Sparky, Deb, Malcom and Marion. Much chat, laughter and useful advice. Finally, Steve DID hire a car and drove on Spanish roads for the first time in his life. No problems and something to be repeated on our next visit.

Well done Steve and Diane! So glad you did decide to hire a car and explore the island. It's very strange driving on the 'wrong' side of the road but once you've done it a few times it's a piece of cake Maybe steer clear of Palma for a while though until you feel more confident!

Agree Debz - actually it soon becomes quite natural.
Infact it seems strange to me to drive on the 'right' side of the road when we return!

Thanks eleanor We've had a great first week despite the weather being mixed What storms we had!! Sun out today and much warmer and it seems much more settled. Will be compaining it's too hot in a day or so

Yes it was lovely to meet Steve and Diane, Debs and Malcolm and Perry and Rufus too. Hope Thursday morning at Marina becomes a regular event. A great way to spend a morning!
