Money transfer - PayPal/Xoom

I have a Spanish bank account and regularly transfer funds for upkeep of my apartment. I have recently tried the new service from PayPal called Xoom for international transactions.
It cost just £1.99 and the exchange rate is at the interbank rate. It took just 36 hours to complete and they email to confirm it. Quite impressive.

I use Transferwise. It costs very litle and arrives in seconds if you use a debit card.

I will have a look at that. Although I often moan about the internet it seems to make it so much this easier these day.

Thanks for this. I have just done a direct comparison between Paypal Xoom and Currency Direct when transferring 1000 pounds sterling. With Currency Direct I get 1066 euros but with Xoom I get 1074. Every little counts.
