new motorway

Can anybody update me on the progress (or lack of it) on the construction of the new Palma-Pollensa motorway?
When is it due for completion?

Hi,

The new road is coming on well, a new stretch was opened last year to by-pass Inca, and although only one lane at the moment another small stretch uses one side of the new road near Campanet.

I travel to Palma from Pollensa reguarly and you do have to take care as route around the works does change but the traffic is flowing freely on the tempoary roads.

Just one point of caution do not be fooled like I was the other day, there are now diversion signs at Inca to Puerto Alcudia which take you nearly via Manacor, this is because the road from Sa Pobla roundabout to Puerto Alcudia is closed, but you can still get as far as the Pollensa/Puerto Pollensa turn off via the roundabout.

I think it may be about April/May when it is totally fininshed, but they have certainly made progress.
