There is a new restaurant in the Port, it is called Mediterraneo and is located opposite the Flora in what was Big Ben. Guillermo Segui Rotger will be playing live there on Tuesday from 7pm :D.

I can't remember which building was Big Ben? Great news though!!

I think it is on the corner just before you get to Mirch Massalla? Didn't it used to be a Spar or similar a few years ago? Big Ben was a bar/tapas place which I think opened in 2015 but we didn't go in there and by last year it had closed down. I hope the new venture is more successful

Mediterraneo looks like it's Italian:cool:

There were signs outside today announcing that they are opening tomorrow - 1st March.

There is another new place nearby in C/Llevant called Café Mistmo which has a grand opening on 11th March. It would appear to be a 'night' venue - cocktails and cool music.

Hi Rebel

Yes - definitely C/Llevant as I can see it from my balcony!

You may say it first but did think it !

Just remember a lovely French walled town we used to stay in had a restaurant that was supposed to do the best fish soup in France and after not going there for a long time returned and famous Restaurant shut and the whole town was full of Pizza Past places ! We struggled to find a fish restaurant and then my husband was served half cooked fish Havent been back there since !

Lots of Italian restaurants wouldnt stop us coming to PP though ! Children will always eat Pizza so easy choice for holidaymakers

Do we know it is Italian? Has anyone seen a menu yet? There are alot of countries around the Med including Spain:eek:

I think we need to remember that PP is a working port as well as a holiday resort and the Italian restaurants are well patronised by the local residents especially in winter. They are all different in their own way and don't only offer pasta and pizza, there is still a huge variety of cuisines available here and long may it continue ;).
