November Restaurants ???

Hi.

Anyone know of Restaurants open during November ?.
We arrive on the 8th for a week staying at the Illa D'or, but will want to dine out most lunch times and the odd diner, last year we had lunch a couple of times at Maxims but I believe they'll be closed by the time we arrive.
We'll be having lunch in Alcudia and Palma during our stay and probably a couple of times at Ca'n Costa during the Pollensa fair, but that still leaves 3 lunches and at least one evening.

Carl, They start to get a bit thin on the ground by then. O'Lume will cetainly be open, if it was me i would look no further.

If the weather's warm you can't beat Stay, for lunch by the waters edge

For dinner Ca'n Costa is hard to beat, but Los Zarzales comes a close second. El temple (opposite El Casonet) in Pollensa also never fails to please and is great value for money...Traditional food with a modern twist, in a cosy taverna setting Fab!

LOL@ Snowy!!! Did you make it to El Temple when you were there with your friends? I know you said you wanted to try it.

Going to Mr Greens with Bella...a most sophisticated restaurant, should be more suitable

Hi All.

Thanks for your advice,must give O'lume a try, we've stood outside and pondered over the menu on a couple of occasions but never ventured in (maybe put off by the empty restaurant, but I know it's highly regarded and will give it a try this time).

El Temple sounds like our kind of place
("Traditional food with a modern twist").

Fingers crossed Ca'n Costa stays open for the La Fira w'end I'm sure they will, we had Sunday Lunch there last year during the fair and the place was heaving, must have turned at least a dozen or so people away, would love to try Mr Greens there sister restaurant but not sure how easy it would be to get to Sa Pobla via public transport.

Anyone know of a lovely place for lunch in Palma?, we dined at Fabrica23 on our last visit and really enjoyed it but looking for something more central this time ( Moira won't want to leave the shops for to long!!! ).

Have not tried any of these places but if you look at the website for this years Tapalma TAPALMA // IV fira internacional de tapes. & download the planol de Rutes (it is a large PDF), you get a map of all the places that were offering Tapas then so I think that would give you some interesting places to try. Something we've wanted to do haven't had the chance.

(We'll be there too for the weekend of the Pollensa fair in 2 weeks time).

Open in November

The Naciente Bar is open in November. Try the Sizzling Meat which is not on the menu but all the locals order!!
We were in pp October 18th - 25th 2008 and eat there 4 times. Jose closes on Wednesdays during winter only

I've been told El Ancla is staying open all year (presumably a break for Christmas!). We go there all the time for menu del dia....in fact it's more or less become our second home this summer

On our last night in October, we were in El Ancla, Anna and Leo told us that they are staying open this winter but they will close in February to attend a wedding in Seville. We are going as well, should be great fun.
