Any of the regulars know if they have any veggie options yet?

a couple of non meat items on menu and
im sure if you speak with Jaime in advance they will sort something out for you

Jamie's never let Miss Fussie down and she's veggie. As Smiddy says its best to see Jamie in advance. Only three weeks and a large party of Fussies will descend on O'Lume. Veggies and non veggies. Two dishes of note that Jamie's prepared in the past are a veggie Paella and veggie risotto. Even the carnivores enjoyed that.

Please could the Restaurant directions/location map be updated for the 'new' O Lume

Went about 10 days ago. The garden is just like the picture, sat at the table near the door. Only four or five tables taken throughout the evening. Food very good as usual, Jaimie as attentive as ever, pleasant young waitress from Sardinia who spoke several languages. Excellent G & T to start with, usual drink on the house (your own choice) to finish. A good night was had by all.

Very easy to find on Joan XX111 (the main road in from Pollenca), next to cafe/bar El Pozo (which again is good for a coffee, breakfast, etc. Run by a delightful lady called Elena, used by lots of locals as well as visitors, give it a try!).
O'Lume is only about 100m from Hotel Eolo which is by the roundabout near the marina and Valls ice cream kiosk. O.Lume is also almost opposite the town centre Eroski.

Sounds though trade has not picked up yet hope it will do soon for Jamie, he tries so so hard to please.

just got back yes from a wonderful hol yet again and we were so impressed with this place that we ate there three times, will post a review when i get more time it,s got to be back to the drawing board for now sorry i mean the ironing board:)

Oh no I am gutted. Haven't been on the forum much so didn't realise O'Lume had moved. We were in PP earlier this month (2nd to 9th June) and I wanted to take my Mum and hubby to O'Lume and went looking for it in the old location but couldn't find it - obvious why not now!

I also can't believe how blind I must be as we went into the Eroski every other day (I understand O'Lume is now across the road) and I didn't see it.

Must get on the forum more and get my eyes tested.

Back in August so will know where I am going now!

We really enjoyed our meals at O Lume. the food and the presentation was first class. The first night we had the bread different butters and olives and the lttle freebe appetisers, then for starters we had Foie Grass which was awesome, for mains we both had sea bass in Martini sauce plus veg, i opted out for dessert but hubby had Crepes with Honey. We had a bottle of Lan Rioja and water, finished off with a liquer of our choice and sweeties as the friendly waitress called them, a truly wonderful evening.

The second night we went we ate indoors as it had been raining must have been last Tues usual bread rolls and butters and olives then for starters hubby had Octopus a Feira and i had Frito Marinero both excellant. For mains hubby had Beef Fillet and i had the lamb chops, just one sweet again cheese mousse very nice all washed down with a bottle of Marques de Victoria Rva.

The third night we went was the night before we went home so we couln't resist having exactly what we had on the first night we went there.
ps i nearly forgot we both had Tia Maria coffee made with yes fresh cream which is quite hard to get in Mallorca and he didn't charge us for this each night we had been there.
The bill came to 70 80, and 80 70 euros, how do i remember it all i made Jamie write it all down for me and oh yes we met Mr and Mrs Smiddy there the first night.
This restaurant gets a 9 out of 10 for us i'm taking off a point for being bitten 4 times by yhe dreaded Mozzies so spray yourselves if you're eating in the garden.

We ate at O Lume last night as our final treat before returning home today and I’ve got to say we are very disappointed - disappointed that we haven’t eaten here before and that we only went once this year!

It was superb! The courtyard is a lovely place to eat. Surprisingly quiet and peaceful given the location by the main road. You can’t really hear any traffic noise at all and could easily be in a courtyard of a country villa with grape vines over your head. These will be lovely when they have become more established. Jaime seems like a delightful bloke. Very quiet and unassuming with a lovely and very endearing chuckle when he laughs.

There was one large Spanish family eating there when we arrived, and a few children running about playing. I love seeing kids in restaurants – seems to make the place more relaxing. Another two couples and a smaller family arrived later.

The food is VERY good, right from the unusual alternative to bread and olives. We were pleasantly surprised when the butters arrived with the bread and an egg salad type thing – very nice and different. For starters I had the clams (half portion as I seem to recall reading here that these are usually ample). They were delicious and none of the sauce was wasted as I didn’t have to ask as more bread was brought up. My wife’s face was a picture as she tucked in to her duck salad, she thought it absolutely wonderful and so did I as she reluctantly gave me a taste. Easily the best starter she had in the two-week stay. My son being my son ordered ravioli in truffle sauce (I told him to tell his mates the next time they were in McDonalds). He wolfed in down and declared it “pucka”. I agreed with him – delicious fresh ravioli in a wonderful sauce and the truffles were not spared. For ten euros this is superb value.

Very difficult choice of main course as the entire menu looked very tempting. My son and I had the T-bone steak (again half portion), both medium-rare (I’ve trained him well). It was a large piece of meat, god knows what the full portion would have looked like. No sauce was quite a surprise, but in all honesty it was a lovely piece of meat. Cooked and seasoned to perfection, succulent with a lovely char-grilled taste. The fat was even crisped up perfectly and I polished off every morsel. No sauce required. My wife’s medallions of pork were a similar story. No sauce, but again it was not required as the quality of the meat and the cooking shone through. I can always tell when she is enjoying a meal by the look on her face and the approving little noises she makes. The house red and white wines were sampled and without being wine experts (far from it) we thought these were great value. I was very full after the main course, bearing in mind I had the half portions.

The desserts are very tempting and my wife had the chocolate mousse, and my son the crepe with honey. Both were duly polished off followed by coffee and huge complimentary glasses of hierbas (although Jaime did give us a choice of complimentary aperitifs). I mentioned I had read about his famous fried milk which brought another chuckle. The bill came to 93 euros (this included a few beers and soft drinks).

At the end of the meal my wife declared this to now to be her number 1 restaurant in PP, and I don’t disagree with her. For the quality of the food and service, and the various lovely little touches it is SUPERB value. Our best meal this year by some distance. It has been said here many times before, but everyone MUST try this. As Snowy says “Go, go, go!”

Paul, great post, it must be one of the best reviews a restaurant has EVER got...praise to Jamie indeed.:)

Almost tried it this year....but fancied somewhere more open on the front or in the square but you have sold it to me with your description of that courtyard!!...and the food of course! Will try it next time for sure....thank you!:)

You are making my mouth water, Paul - can't wait to be back there! By the way, Jaime will rustle you up a lovely sauce for those steaks if you ask - I think he did a peppercorn sauce for my husband which was a big hit.

Paul i am so glad you enjoyed your meal. I know a few of us tend to bang on about O'Lume but i have never had a bad meal or poor service there, which reminds me, it's about time i paid Jaime another visit :D.

Paul, you are lucky you didn't order the t-bone in full portion, try as i did, it was just impossible to finish(jaime had to carry it in over his shoulder), if i can coax the o.h. i hope to visit this year as well, excellent review, cleaning up drool as i type:D

For the last few years my wife and I have been promising ourselves that we would try O'Lume, but we've never made it. I've just never fancied the old location. But with Paul's brilliant review (Is he paying you? Do you get a discount?) and it now being in a nicer building we are definitely going to try it this year. Next week, in fact. We fly out at the weekend and the first thing we are going to do is book a table at O'Lume.
I'll let you know what it was like as soon as we get back.
Thanks Paul.

And you definitely won't regret it, Tony. I tried to drag my wife in there last year at the old location, but she didn't fancy it. She regrets it now though. The new location is somewhat similar as you cannot see the courtyard from the front and the restaurant looks deserted. Don't let this put you off.

Paul, Great post ,can you tell me when you had the clams for starters were they the razor clams? When I was there in May I asked for them but Jaime told me they were not on the menu anymore(maybe seasonal?) so I hope they are back on ,roll on August!

Ironman, it was only Monday evening. They were the normal small round clams, a bit difficult to eat and very small, but delicious. However, the turbot with razor clams in crayfish sauce were on the menu too, and I was tempted to order this as I am a bit of a seafood nut. I am sure if you email Jaime (email address is in the "Eating Out" section) he can tell you when they are available.
