Old newsagents by the market

Good news and bad news.Closed because of hike to 3000 euros a month rent.Reopened 100metres away. New bar opening there,think its a guy from the old town who runs several bars.

We were talking to Marga in January and she said they were moving down the road...i think she said it was where a clothes shop used to be ...opposite the chinese restaurant

Yes it is now open Cath.
Re the old shop, i was told it was going to be a snack bar but that was a non starter because if you sell cooked food you have to have an extraction system and that is not possible in this building.

Is this the newsagent on the corner of Formentor Road with a bag/shoe shop on the other corner, when we first started coming to PP in 1998 this was the only place that sold newspapers/magazines etc shame they have had to move out but at least they are still going.

It's the one beside Lina's shoe shop that has closed. The new one is only a few doors further along. I think it is called 'Bleu Press' - was there not a shop along the beachfront called this a couple of years ago?

We did see it when we were over at Easter, although I'm not sure if its open yet as it was evening time anyway. It's a lot smaller, but looks like it sells all the same things as it did before. A very bright frontage - as in all glass - if my memory serves me right!

it was open during the day when we were there the week before Easter. Is smaller but has lots in it !

As i said in a previous post it is open and Star you are correct, there was a shop going by the same name on the front and it was run by the same lady.

Me too Bella, but Sparky missed the fact that I said it moved down the road in the original post so we're all in this together

No Ray i didn't miss the fact that it had moved. I was just pointing out that the new location was now open and that Marga did run another shop on the front.
