Well here we are and what better place to wind down after a very hectic few months back in the UK. Couldn't have arrived to better weather even though the forecast had been for rain!

The search for our new home now begins............. :);)

Yay!! welcome to Puerto Pollensa Whaley and "Trevor", Colin and i both hope you will be as happy living here as we are xx :D.

Update:

Thank you so much for all your good wishes, and an extra special thanks to two people who we could not have done it without.;)

Well we have found our new home, we have bought a new apartment in Gotmar, we complete on Thursday and we are both very excited. Apart from one or two glitches because all my paperwork is in storage! everything has gone well.

We just have the packing up and moving process to go through again now.

Hi Whaley (and my Trevor ;)) i assume it's the one you told me about, so pleased it all worked out well for you. Colin and i wish you both every happiness in your new home :D.

Hi WW

I was wondering how you were getting on with your search and am so pleased that you have found what you were looking for - and quite quickly as well:) I hope you will both be very happy in your new life in PP and hope to meet up with you both again in October:D

Fantastic news Whaley! I couldn't be happier for you! :)

Just to let you all know that we're still in the land of the living! We really have been so busy trying to find a place for everything, and the good weather and family visitors have been somewhat of a distraction!!

We love our new home and will report more when we have more time or if and when it ever rains!

Hasta luego ;)

It's great to hear from you, so pleased you are now settled in and hope to see you both very soon :D.

Well after 6 months we have finally been connected to the outside world, it was
like christmas had arrived early for me, you just don't realise how much we take having a phone and wifi for granted until you have to do without it for so long.

When we applied for a phone Movistar told us 'It is not possible where you live'. We live in the Gotmar area and not high up in the mountains so we couldn't understand why! They kept saying there were 'no wires' or that 'the present pole could not accept any more wires', to cut a very, very long story short it turns out they were looking at the wrong pole!!

After a lot of perseverance by our administrator, we were connected this week, it took 6 months but its wonderful to be back in the electronic age, It's hard to put into words how I feel but can only liken it to feeling like a kid at Christmas time.:D.

Now it's so easy just to pick up my tablet you will probably be hearing more from me, I will be able to contribute instead of just reading.

The moral of this story is; don't take no for an answer!

Now to tackle the Sky box not working problem :( ......... watch this space.

Yay!!! welcome back Whaley, i hope you and my Trevor are well ;). Will you be spending Christmas here? :).

That's great news WW:) I can totally understand how frustrated you must have felt without communication etc - I tear my hair out (well, nearly;)) whenever my comp (let alone the phone!) is out of action even for a short time - six months:eek:
