Is it possible to access posts back in time, to at least, the time the forum was hacked? Just thought it might be interesting to re-read some posts and spot the repetitive ones (LoL).

Jimbo, all i can suggest is when you go to a section of the forum, at the top of the list there is a bar (first til last) obviously the last page will show the oldest threads and some go back at least to the early 2000's .

I seem to think that the hack took place sometime in the 1990s. Zelda ran the forum and Jane Howard started the Tapas Bar during the time I am thinking about.

I notice that my joining date for this forum is shown as May 2008, that's incorrect as we have both been posting a lot longer than that.

Anyway it was just a thought and as SWS say's it could have been a good laugh.

Hi there,

I actually started both the website and the forum back in 2001 - see https://www.forum.puertopollensa.com/administration/1178-welcome-forum.html - and still own/run both of them but Sparky has being doing an admirable job of looking after the forum for me for some time. The original forum ran on a platform called Ezboard which then moved to Yuku. Looking back through the posts here, there was an incident when a load of posts went missing in 2005. We had no technical control over the forum software.

So in 2008 the forum was moved to our own servers and all previous posts were copied over. All users had to register again and their old posts were assigned to them but that's why it shows members as joing from 2008 onwards.

I hope that helps. As pointed out here you can still find posts from 2001 onwards but some did disappear in 2005.

I managed to find some of my old diaries at the back of my garage and did find some dates with relevant details which you have verified.

I did think I had posted prior to 2000 but my memory is not a s good as it once was.

I've managed to find my old posts going back to early 2001 but the rest are missing obviously. Those names did stir some good memories.
