Hi, I have just booked flights to Majorca for June and am now trying to decide on accomodation. I'm looking for a good value 1 or 2 bed apartment for 2 adaults a 3 year old and a baby in a quietish location but walking distance to a nice beach and the centre. The pinewalk area sounds lovely.

Has anyone stayed in the Pollensamar apartments (close to the hotel Illa D'Or)? Does anyone know how long it would take to walk to the centre from there? Also what is the beach like by the Pinewalk?

If anyone has any other suggestions for acccomadation that would also be appreciated.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion, the apartment looks v. nice and it's good value but unfortunately it's not available on the dates I require.

The beach by the Pine Walk is lovely although a little shallower than the main one further South. That 'road' along it is all pedestrianised which is a great plus. Being up near the Illa d'Or is about a 20 min walk to the centre - but is a lovely walk.

See www.puertopollensa.com/maps/pinewalk.html for the map which has Grid Refs so you can ask owners for exact locations. See Apts & Villas in Pine Walk Area for a list of 94 properties in the area. You can search on availability for the week in June that you are looking for.

Hope that helps,

Webmaster

We have been staying on the pinewalk since first coming to Majorca in 1998. I love this part of the resort, we often day dream about owning one of the lovely houses, I would imagine there is a far long waiting list for them

pinewalk question

Hi, if you go onto www.holidaywatchdog.com and click on med resorts, click on mallorca and find puertopollensa it has reviews of lots of appartments in the area you are looking for and they really go into depth (cleanliness, time to walk to beach etc).
Hope it helps

Re: pinewalk question

try Open Holidays, we were in Anita apartments last July with them, they seemed to have zillions of properties in the Pine Walk. Recommended position!
