We are going to the Playamar aparthotel, puerto pollensa in May. If anyone has already been there please let me know what it is like. (though too late now to change our minds!)

In particular I would like to know more about the food there as we are vegetarian also, does anyone know if it has a washing machine?

What is the resort like at night ?Are there any street performers, artists etc?

Hello sarzena,

Welcome to the PP forum.

I can't help you with any information about the Playamar aparthotel, but I can reassure you that Puerto Pollensa itself is lovely at night.

My favourite thing to do is to sit at one of the bars and enjoy a drink while people watching. The view over the bay is beautiful in the early evening. You can look at lots of our photos on Flickr - just send a message to Pollensa (webmaster) and say you'd like to join.

When we've visited in August, there have been strolling musicians playing at different bars and restaurants. The square is particularly lively with people enjoying the atmosphere.

The promenade in PP is great for an early evening stroll before you pick where to eat dinner or for a coffee and nightcap after your meal.

Below is a photo of the marina with the backdrop of beautiful mountains.

I'm sure you'll enjoy!

Hi Sarzena,

I stayed at the Playamar last May would you believe! Also, I have booked to return in June (8 weeks and counting!). The Playamar is a perfectly lovely hotel. It ticked all the boxes for us although it depends if you are travelling with Children or not. (we have 2 young ones under 5). The food is buffet style and I must admit, all the hot dishes tend to be meat based. There was a lovely selection of rice & salad dishes, the usual chips and plenty of fish (if your diet allows).

There is a washing machine (and iron) although we found it in our 2nd week and other guests were stunned to see us with clean washing! It's not well advertised. Head down to the indoor pool and turn right. Follow the passage way round and hey presto, the machine and tumble dryer is there.

Anymore info you want, just ask

Regards
