We come to Puerto Pollensa for a week every year but now we are retired are able to extend our holiday a little. We are looking for somewhere else to stay for a few nights on the island en route back to the airport. Already we have stayed in Palma and Puerto Soller but would welcome a chance to see somewhere different.
Please can anyone suggest somewhere in Mallorca that would be fairly easy to get to by public transport from Puerto Pollensa.
I know there are many beautiful places in Mallorca but don't know where to start to find them, we've been coming to PP for 30 years and only found Puerto Soller by going there by bus for a day out from PP.
Thank you.

Having had a superb meal at Mister Green in Sa Pobla, I discovered it was a small Hotel with six rooms in a large grand old house. I suggest you check availability on line.
Sa Pobla is 19 mins (15.4km) from Pollensa I thought about staying there myself one day, at present I own an apartment in Puerto Pollensa.
Hope this helps.

I would take a look at the TIB website, the public bus service, they have a section called "Tourism by public transport" with a video as well, I think you could get to almost anywhere on the island from the Palma bus and train station, good luck

These are both great ideas - thank you!

We recently stayed at Mr Greens I think there are only two bedrooms, the service was really good and I liked the square and shops around the square, location wise though, would not think anyone would want much more than a day or two in Sa Pobla there are a lot more scenic towns villages in Majorca. We would recommend Mr Greens both the room and the restaurant though.
