Just joined today after much hassle in trying to register. I have been visiting Puerto Pollensa for the last ten years as well as other foreign parts but there is something very special about PP we keep coming back.Plenty of excellent restuarants to suit all budgets from Stay ,la Longa to pizza places ,our favourite is Don Corleone's to name a few .

Anyway next visit is on the 14 June and it can't come quick enough.Hope to join in on the discussions and debates about great days out and best bars for a wee libation.

Hello scotty, welcome and glad you love pp as much as the rest of us, you are right it does get under your skin which is why I worry so much about all the changes.

Yes I know there are lots of changes but I still think it is a very special place. I only have to think of my next visit and my shoulders relax and the stresses and tension dissapear.

What could be better than a meal in your favourite restuarant with a decent bottle of wine ,preferably overlooking the harbour or the square then a gentle stroll to your watering hole of choice (fill in name of bar) for a nightcap.

Oh my God Im off again.

But seriously I just close my eyes to the parts that I no longer consider nice ,i.e. certain chain restuarants and the tacky shops down the far end . It works ,it really works .

Talking of which I need to get on with some of my own work .

I just love the view from the coast road as you drive into PP - the mountains behind the port are seriously beautiful and the view never fails to lift my spirits!

We always drive in on the coast road for the same reason. I hope that they do not extend the beach along here and close part of this road. It would be such a pity. It's perfect as it is!

I remember coming into the Port once in a coach full of holidaymakers and the moment the water came into view as we turned the corner at the taxi rank there was an audible gasp from the first timers!

It really is a pretty little bay - hope it stays that way.
