Possible move to Puerto Pollenca

I have a husband who has always wanted to move to PP. We have been visiting for over 20 years. Now he is eligible for retirement and would like to make the move. However I am a natural worrier and have lots of questions I would like to ask. I would be grateful if anyone who had made the move could either contact me or maybe we could meet up at a meeting on Tues we are back out on Aug 31st and would love to talk to people who have been brave enough to leave sunny England. Any help would be much appreciated.

We have been here for 6 years almost and don't regret it at all. My advice would be to do your homework re pensions ,healthcare,tax before you come. I am sure others who have made the move would like me be happy to answer any specific questions either directly on here or by PM. Good Luck.

Just a suggestion but why don't you rent an apartment for a time say two months or longer in the winter period when the weather is not as good as the summer and it is a lot quieter, if you like it then you will love the summer.

The Port is a very different place in winter but we still love it.
When we decided to move here we chose to come at the beginning of December so we could experience the place without tourists and also Christmas/New Year, we loved it. The next hurdle was to live through summer with the heat and of course many more people, it was a big learning curve but again we loved it. It wasn't until we had lived here for a full year that we decided to make the move permanent.

I think if one of you is unsure you really should think about visiting at different times of the year .
