PP web cams.

Good to see people actually moving about on the webcams today. Was beginning to think that everyone had gone into hibernation;) Just takes a bit of sun and people come alive again:)
 
Lets hope that now the port is coming out of hibernation, Sail 'n'Surf will restore their web cam, I really miss this one.:)
 
Webcams

Hi, I`ve had to get a new PC. I am now on Windows 8 instead of XP.
I can`t view the webcams from Stay restaurant, or the Sail and Surf one now.
Can any PC experts out there tell me why, and help me get them back.

Hi Wilcoxon, sorry i am not any good with the techy stuff but have a look at this thread http://www.forum.puertopollensa.com/miscellaneous/6626-webcams.html, you will have to scroll through quite a lot but there is some info and advice about this problem :).
 
Hi

As posted a little further up this thread the Sail 'n' Surf webcam has not been working for several months now. The Stay webcam has had a few instances of being off line also but is working fine at the moment. Make sure that Java is installed on your new computer, this may be the problem.

There is also the Riusech webcam, good clear view from this one.

Hope you manage to get it sorted.:)
 
As the sail and surf season is just starting maybe they will reinstate the web cam. The office is not always open in the winter.
 
I've just been looking at the webcam on seemajorca but it's the same as yesterday. How often does this change? Stay webcam doesn't seem to be working for me at the moment also.

I did contact them yesterday and they are hoping to get it up and running again soon.

In my opinion the seemallorca webcam is the best one, although not live. When working properly it updates about every 1/2 hour, but the last couple of days it has been a bit hit and miss. The staff do reset it regularly but they can only do it when in the office and that is not everyday, so I'm told.

Stay was working ok for me this morning but the Riusech one was looking at the sky!!!

Stay webcam is on one minute and off the next, i think someone must have moved the Riussech cam and now even the Yacht club one is not running smoothly :eek::eek:, i think too many of you are logging on to them and making them crash ;);).
 
For some unknown reason I can't get the yacht club one, just a blank space where it should be. :confused:

Re the Stay webcam, always a bit out of focus and think I have just sussed the reason why (I stand to be corrected if I'm wrong!). They are both pointing at the sky so the webcam has not got a solid item to focus on. Direct them both down a bit and I'm sure they would be much clearer.

Lets hope that the powers that be read the forum.;)
 
Sail and Surf Webcam

Please can anyone help or advise.?
I am unable to see the beautiful bay of Pollensa via the Sail and Surf webcam! Where the image should be all that is displayed is the word 'webcam'

Your suggestions would be gratefully received

Thanks Sparky, I thought it was just me! I look at all the webcams daily but Sail and Surf is a miss. Hopefully they will get it up and running soon. Hubby and I wave at the camera at a given time so family at home can see us and talk to us on our fone at same time. Simple pleasures !!

Anyone having problems with the Seemallorca-cam? Not working for me today.

Lovely blue sky on the other webcams ...
 
Yep, me too Mike! Think the turning mechanism has packed up which stops the whole thing working. By far my favourite webcam so someone please get up there and give it a push! ;)

Was going to arrange a Webcam-wave with the in-laws over the weekend. Might have to send them down the the Club Nautico - don't think that the walkway is publicly accessible though ...
 
Mike, the Seemallorca webcam is not really very good for Webcam waves as it is not "live streaming", it takes 10- 15mins to update. It's such a shame that we don't have the Barnard Hamilton cam any more :( that one was brilliant.

I already caught them once on the Seemallorca-cam. They just take a 15-min breather on the bench facing the webcam.

Just saw some people on the Club Nautico walkway passing at their webcam. Have to send them on a walk down there ....

Yes, the the BHI cam was handy. Maybe Stay can indulge us with a third webcam?
