is it pronounced:

Bonnie

or

Boney

Martyn

You will probably live to regret it as you say however Jose the owner of the bar uses the former not the latter when he says "Welcome to Bonnies'",but if you ask him which is correct he will say whichever you like Bonnies' or Boneys' as long asyou come to my house you call it what you like !!

As the Senor says, Jose pronounces it Bonnies . I know it's a bit early but, i saw Jose yesterday in El Posito and he told me that he will re-open on April 1st .

Blimey, the man's not even opened yet and already (with the proposed opening date) he's having a joke at us..............assuming the Spanish recognise April Fool's Day of course?

PP, you are right though, I always thought it was pronounced as written. All part of the fun lost in translation methinks.

Pleased he will be opening for at least another year though.......will have to get 2011's signed peg to add to 2009 and 2010's !!!

Funny you should say that Nick, i found out yesterday that the Spanish don't recognise April Fools Day but they do have an equivalent on 28th December. It is known as El dia de los Inocentes.
