Is really legal to grow it in Spain? In the UK anything more than 6 seedlings warrants a very hefty prison sentence of a number of years. It treated the same as supply.

Yes but as sws says only for your own consumption. That's from my own knowledge and research anyway.

There are rumours of a change in the law which means it could be criminalized.

You must remember that Spanish law is often very different to English law and it can change very quickly .

Having started this thread, the comments are very useful. Could anyone help to provide the most appropriate contact details, for the council and the police. Which is the best email for the council and is there a local number for the police please?. An example - a fight breaks out (as has happened) between the undesirables and a visiting and (who knows a rival group) which police number do we call for best reaction. In the past we have called a central number but clearly they with no knowledge of local street addresses locations and problems. In addition if local's in the area would like to form a group to combat this issue and persuade the authorities to take once and for all and decisive action please send a private message. In particular Senior Cigar might like to contact me?

I would suggest that if a fight is taking place then, as in the UK, use the Spanish emergency number of 112.

I don't know the local number off hand but think I'm right in saying that it's not always answered and then it's pot-luck with them speaking English.

Good luck with your crusade though. Without people like yourself getting involved things never get done. Please keep us updated.

Nick is correct and if you call 112 they will have English speaking operators.

I would also remind everyone that the Port police station is not manned 24/7.
