We went to the restaurant at the Yacht Club last week. There have been some changes since we last went. The restaurant itself has been enlarged & has taken over a large part of the Summer open air dining area. In some ways this will be good as it will allow for all weather conditions, all year round. The decor is appealing but the tables are now set in a less formal way. Bare table tops with runners on them have replaced the full white tablecloths. The menu has been updated as has the wine list but at the sad loss (currently) of the wonderful Menu del Dia which used to be offered. Martin, one of the lovely waiters there said that some Club members weren't that keen on the new arrangement - but who knows! We enjoyed our meals but did wonder if we'd rush back.
