Restaurante Siller

Does anyone know if Restaurante Siller is open. Have been trying to book a table for dinner this Friday. Cannot get any response from their phone. Their website says open all year, closed Mondays.

I have an update on the restaurant, it has been closed for a few weeks for vacations but now an alquilar/rent sign has gone up in the window. I had heard rumours that the owner wanted to retire, so maybe he has.

Thanks for the update Lyn. If Manolo has retired, we wish him and his wife well. We will certainly miss this lovely restaurant.

He did tell us a year ago that he wanted to retire but we didn't want to believe it -- he will be very much missed.

Oh, that's really disappointing. Siller was my #1 in the "Best 5" vote.

Every time we went there it was the same waiting staff and they seemed like a family . I hope they find employment with the other restaurants .

I have just been looking for details of Siller restaurant to give my daughter who is over in PP now with her husband and family and really disappointed to find out it is closed. It was our favourite restaurant in PP and we will greatly miss it but wish the lovely owners a happy retirement. Wonder where we will go now for the finest suckling pig in town?

Cellar La Parra.

Not as good as Siller. Not close to the best I've had in Spain generally, or Mallorca specifically. But not bad at all.

Expect service to be not as good as the food - I have something of a down on the place after a less than satisfactory experience last year.

Suckling Pig? You'd be hard pushed to beat Zarzales or El Posito. Both excellent.

On Saturday night I had an excellent meal at Los Zarzales.

My starters were the same as yours, for main I had lamb chops and my wife, Cabrito.

Probably lacking a bit of flavour but the excellent and friendly service more than made up for it.

Excellent house wine and home made deserts.

I ordered an Irish Coffee, and after it came, mentioned that it was slightly cold, but drank it anyway as it wasn´t all that important.

They didn´t charge for it and refused payment after I inisted that I wanted to.

All in all, an excellent evening.

If I can resist the suckling pig when we next visit Los Zarzales then I'll probably try the Cabrito - I don't think I've had goat in PP since Can Andreu closed

We too enjoyed a really good suckling pig at Zazales

We shared a seafood starter which was really tasty and filling and my husband who is learning Spanish got things mixed up and we ended up with a suckling pig to share as well !! They really wanted to do another one for us but we found it plenty between us so we could manage a pudding each for a change So his mistake was fortunate !

I preferred the suckling pig there to Cellar la Parra so thank you for the recomendation

Very nice wine and service and might try the Flamenco show on another visit

Totally agree re:- Los Zarzales, suckling pig was excellent accompanied by Dauphinoise potatoes and veg instead of the usual chips. Delicious. Friendly helpful staff. Not to be missed. IMO Advisable to book.
