Bella,

Ye Gods

If the Magi ( the Three Kings ) could hit Bethlehem after travelling thousands of miles away from the East without Sat Nav, only using rudimentary astrological ability to follow a liitle star's light are you telling me we can't find Puerto Pollensa on the night of the 5th ????

Get a grip, Babe !!!!!!!

Still, you're giving us all a good laugh.

Try a priest, most estate agents don't know their a***e from their elbow !!!!!!

Yours ( with tongue in cheek )

BonysLad :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

Bet you want to sit next to me now !!!!!

Oooooh this sounds like fun! I do so wish I was there on the 5th, but it sounds as though you'll still be looking for a restaurant on the 15th, so I'll see you there! :lol

Better still you could stay at home and freeze like us unlucky people I cant wait to know what place's were open Oh do tell me when you get back I can't wait. Bella never knew you were a scout dib dib bob and all that, and as for letting your Granma Debz tell you what you should do and where you should go is beyond me.

Bonyslad I shall be at the Vic on Boxing day glad to see Lee's having a good run Debz don't tell him what place's are open he may up leave.

Love you all

Snowy:rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin

Sandy,

Where you eating bonfire night ? I'll still be there on the 15th. Am in the croissanteria ( on your corner) most mornings tennish so just sing " Hey Jude " to the girl that runs it and we'll meet. Taught her that this summer as she only knew " All you need is love " !!!!

Snowy,

Where you sitting Boxing Day ?, I'll be upper Rouse with me Reindeer horns on !!!!!

Bella,

Babe, don't panic re the restaurants ! We could all meet up outside the Cultural during the fireworks and hit the town after that ?

Feel like a good posting coming up on our winter forum meeting !!!!

As Bing and Frank sang "What a swell party this is "

BonysLad :rollin :rollin :rollin

Bonfire night? I didn't realise we were catching that. Is that the 15th? Where does it take place? What is it ? Ohmigod, I'm sounding like Bella! :b

Sandy,

It's the fiesta of St Anthoni. See my review of a couple of years ago under the "Fiesta" section of the forum. Great fun , bonfire night on the 16th followed by either mass barbeques the following morning at Formentor Beach or the Blessing of the Beasts in front of the church
for those of a more gentle disposition.

Climbing the pine tree in the square is a sight to behold.

Not for the faintheated or the sober !!!!

BonysLad :D :D

Ok you lot - how did the "lets all have a go at bella" group get started then!!? Surely Im not that bad (yeah, I know - DONT CALL ME SHIRLEY!). Here I am, struggling to do my bit for 2008 to the best of my ability (no comments please), and suddenly I find Ive been cast as the dumb fairy in the 3 kings pantomime!! Just ONE little slip up last year, and my reputation has been shattered - Pollensa Square, Porta Pollensa Square - ONE WORD DIFFERENCE, thats all it was, and you found me anyway, so you knew it would happen, clever cloggs debz!! At least my Snowy elf loves me - some one has to!
Anyway, if you are absolutely positively certain its on the 5th in Porta pollensa square debs, I cant see any problem with us all meeting up in Maxims ............................... ! JOKE!!:rollin

:lol :lol :lol :rollin :rollin :rollin

You'd better tell Maxims to leave out the keys to the kitchen :D

Hey everyone problem solved bella's cooking dinner on the 5th :lol

Bella,

Is that Maxims in PP or Paris ?

Seriously when we meet I'm going to buy you a large drink for being such a good sport, will you be carrying your wand ???

Take care Babe

BonysLad :rollin :rollin :rollin

Thanks Bonyslad for the info, and lots of warm and cuddlies to Bella, who'se been a fantastic sport while we wind up her like a clock. :D I checked out your old post. I think I was getting confused (not hard!) between St Antoni and 3 Kings. I thought 3 Kings was the bonfires etc, but now realise that's St Antoni. So what happens at 3 Kings? (and more importantly, has Bella booked that restaurant yet!)

Here we go ....this is like a recurring dream!!

Actually more like a nightmare :rollin :rollin

Sandy,

Epiphany ( Three Kings) is generally celebrated quite widely in Spain. It appears to be equal in terms of fiestas to Xmas day to us. Kiddies get their chrissy presents at this time , I think they post their "want lists" in the square a few days before this. On the night of the 5th a small procession meanders around the town with the three kings on horseback ( Apparently used to be on camels but they are getting a bit extinct now and there are not enough camels to go around ) . It comes down Roger De Flor and turns down by the church culminating in the square. There is then a firework display based in the square and people wander off to eat or party. The day of the 6th is generally quiet as it's like a family day.

So if you plan it you can effectively have two Chrissys , one at home and the next one in Spain.

Feliz Navidad

BonysLad :D

Ive got the answer! My son and his girlfriend are out on the 1st (strike? What strike!!), so....... ITS ALL DOWN TO THEM!! YEAH!! Thats me off the slippery pole then! First one to give a comment on that one buys the first round! How about Tex Mex in Pine Walk!!?? Bound to be tables free there!;)

Have a fabulous time everyone. I'm soooo jealous. Don't forget to let us all know where you evenutally end up!

Guys,

Any new yet on restaurants open Sat night ?

Sunny days ahead ( looks like a minimum temp of 13 degrees c at night ). Will it be warm enough for the footy shirts ( only kidding !!!!).

Hope we don't get snowed in here in the morning !!!!

"We three kings of orient are ........................... "

Hi BonysLad!

Bella has just text me to say she's arrived in PP and its wet and gloomy but very Christmasy! She says the only place open in the square is the pizzaria and the Corner Bar:\ Will arrange to meet her and family outside for a drink so maybe see you and Mrs B there as well! We can then all go in search of food :D

Debs

Debs,

Looks like a forum meet then outside of the Cultural (Corner Bar) during the fireworks and then we'll see what's open.

have a safe trip

Bonyslad :D :D

>:

So jealous of you all!

Have a great time, though, and raise a glass to all of us stuck at home! I wanna see some good reviews when you get back!

But...I am off to Berlin next Thursday...;)
