We are here too - just for a weeekend - weather is fabulous & Sunny & 18 C in the shade at lunchtime. Children on the beach & paddling in the sea!

Can add a few more places I've seen open:

Cellar La Parra (great indoors place in Winter) - very busy
Ikebana at lunch times - ate outside today - packed
Can Picotea
Pascalino
Luna de Miel
La Llonja
Stay

Also quite a few in Pto Alcudia including Bodega d'esport

Where is Cellar La Parra ?

I am back but Mum and dad still there so I could pas on the recommendation , if I knew where it was

Also a few notes from last week in PP

I was there for 3 nights but Mum and Dad will be there for 27 nights and pockets not that deep , so I wanted to find them some reasonable places to get a good meal for the evenings they venture out, though I think the plan is to have good late lunches in the sunshine and stay in with beens and toast and the like in fromt of the telly in the evenings

Anyway

3 people , 3 meals ...... no more than 5oeuros total on any evening

TRIO - you all know I love TRIO, I also know it's not everyone's favourite but we like it there.

We all ate off the set menu

Bread , olives and Oli oli

Starters

Smoked salmon and Prawn Salad
Celery Soup
Onion soup

Mains

Lamb
Pork in Pepper Sauce
Cod

Desserts

Fresh Pineapple with Kirsh
Prunes in Brandy
Apple tart

Bottle of Faustino Red and a Bottle of sparkling Water

46 euros for the lot the lot - good atmosphere, only small area of the restaurant open but cosy and felt "full" Nice friendly service , but when you are known in a place that is always the case

45 euros for the lot - only us and 1 couple in but was quite early. we are not known here but service very welcoming ( more about that in another post )

49 euros for the lot ........... and a fantastic warm log fire for free. Good food , service ok but not as friendly as other 2, pleanty of people in so place had a good buz ...... so few places open we were on nodding terms with most of the other diners as we'd seen them out and about over the previous few days

mmmmmmmmm I think I wish I were back !

Hi cd,
Your post makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside - I wish we could be there!!
There are several other places your Mum and Dad could try, such as Ikebana who do a lovely Paella as a Menu del Dia at lunchtime. I'm not sure if Brisa Marina is open at this time of the year but their Menu is well worth a go at around 15€ each.
Bar Romero in C/Roger de Flor do a good Menu at lunchtime too. Bon Profit and La Val are both worth a look. Again, I'm not sure if El Posito are open, but worth a try.
La Parra is on Juan XX111, on the Right hand side going away from the Marina just after the traffic lights before the Petrol Station.

When I was there last week, La Vall were closed completely, with a se trespasa sign on the window, so may have gone for good. Brisa Marina were also closed. Roll on Spring!

Some info on Celler la Parra here puertopollensa.com/restaurants_bars_cafes.html#cellerlaparra & as mentioned above it is on the right hand side of Juan XXIII more or less opposite Solbank but may be above your budget as I don't think they do a menu. I think it came to about 55 EUR for 2 but we did have very good lamb (15 eur for that course) but other mains e.g. chicken were cheaper.

Ikebana do very good value lunches www.puertopollensa.com/ikebana/ & particularly nice if Sunny - near the Pollensa Park.

cd if your mum and dad go into Pollensa they could try El Temple..very cosy taverna, very friendly , good food and price

Opposite El Cantonet near the church.
