Hi.....my wife and I are heading back to PP in September for our 19th visit to this wonderful wee town. We've enjoyed many excellent dining over the years and seen some good places closes while other good ones open! However, during our last visit in 2014, we discovered El Lume (previously El Pozo) and it was great, but I was told by someone today that it had closed! Can someone tell me if this is the case? Thanks

Yes Johnny, I'm afraid O Lume has gone. It was a lovely place, and a favourite of ours, so it's a real shame. However, there are loads of brilliant places around, many of which are recommended on this Forum, so enjoy

It is now an Italian restaurant called Portofino - very good value.

I agree. We visited Portofino last week and had a very enjoyable evening. The pizzas are tasty and very good value. They had a short power cut the night we were there, so for about 15 minutes we were eating with only candlelight - it all added to the atmosphere!!

I believe Jaime who used to run O Lume is running a gastro deli attached to the Corb Mari restaurant.
