We have been coming to PP for at least 35 years, but always during July and August when our children were young. Since they flew the nest, we have always come during the first 2 weeks of September for almost all of the last 15 + years, and have enjoyed it immensely, but not missing the mosquitoes at all. We will still be there next September , as usual, but are also comtemplating visiting for about 10 days next March, with one our sons and his family. Given that Easter Sunday is on 28th March next year, I am wondering if anybody could advise me wether to bother or not.

I ask this purely because we have never stayed in PP at that time of year, although we have have stayed in a few other Spanish and Majorcan resorts during January, February, March, etc., all of which were lively, with lots going on. But for PP do not know how much is available to entertain us oldies, and also our son's family, which includes a 7 year old and a 21 month old by that time. Any advise would be gladly welcomed.

Hi Tangoman, clearly any time of year in PP is great, but March is definitely different to September. Everything is opening up, but its rarely hot, can be quite cool and potentially wet. The pools and sea are cold, so whilst you can definitely have days in the sun if you're lucky.... I wouldn't bank on it.

I’d echo that. It can be lovely, but the weather can be changeable. To be fair, we come virtually every month of the year and enjoy the variation from really quiet to hugely busy. It’s a great place any time of year.

Thanks to you both for honest replies. Can I also ask about something dear to my heart, which I know is important to both of you, having been a member on this forum for whatever nuber of years it is - "eating out"!! Apart from Pascalinos, where else is open during March, in your opinion? It currently looks like around 20% of restaurants will be open, but I am hoping that, with Easter Sunday falling on 28th March, many more restaurants will have opened. And also, if itsnot too much, are all the supermarkets and shops, bakeries, etc. be open What do you think? Thanks again.
