I don’t know what victory the mirador commemorates. Perhaps it’s just the getting there. The fun of the “real driving” and the relief that you’ve not driven yourself off the hillside. It’s worth it for the views. And it’s worth it for the food – a shortish menu of, generally, Mallorcan classic dishes.

There’s probably as many “authentic” versions of lomo con coll as there are people cooking it. Here, it was a long cooked escalope wrapped in cabbage, and surrounded by a dice of potato, pepper and ham in a really savoury gravy. This was big “in yer face” flavours.

Although not as “in yer face” as the Frit Mallorqui. This was really big on the livery flavour and really big on fennel. Delicious – except for the occasional unpleasantly chewy bits of unidentifiable protein which did spoil the enjoyment somewhat.

Until last year I had always placed this restaurant as a place to go for lunch due to the opportunity to take in the magnificent views in daylight. In the world of myself and those around me dinner is always treated as the main meal of the day and lunch tends to consist of something light(ish). So my knowledge of the food was based on eating at the lighter end of the menu. Last October we ate here in the evening and had the full dinner experience for the first time. It is a very good restaurant indeed. I have particularly good memories of the Arroz Marinera.....

Our main story of this restaurant many years ago stars the whiskey tart desert. Steve and the two boys , about 10 and 12 then I would think, ordered it after a good meal. It was very good, maybe homemade, but the icing on the cake, so to speak, for the three of them was the fact that after pouring the whisky over the tarts, they then left the bottle on the table!! I swear that's where the love of whiskey started from for the boys!! :o

We were wondering if anyone could let us know if you can catch a bus from the main bus station in PP and then walk to this restaurant. Thanks in advance :)

I think the closest you'd get by bus would be as far as Alcudia.
And from there it's at least a 7.5 km walk lasting about 1h40min according to Google Maps.

You might be better off getting a taxi from Alcudia as the drivers might have more local knowledge, but other than hiring a car, getting a taxi (either from PP or Alcudia) might be your only option.
And pre-ordering one for the drive back.

It's well worth the drive through the stunning scenery to this beautiful location.

A couple of years ago it cost us about €20-€25 from the taxi rank in PP to La Victoria and the same back again, the restaurant called a taxi for us for the return
