We are going to call in tomorrow, will let you know ;).

I think its about time we started some "sponsorship scheme" for Sparky  Must be costing a fortune this research!!:cool:

Dropped into lunares a couple of times last week as we were just round corner from it, unfortunately both times I was the only customer but friendly staff and pleasant surroundings, sure it will do well in summer months due to location and late opening hours, was still open in the early hours as heard the music through the night

I have just heard that Can Tofol are also on the Ruta, seems there was an error on the poster :D.

Well as promised we called into Los Lunares last night, it was very quiet but most places were apart from Can Tofol, Cafe d'Eu Moll and Geminis 18.

Anyway the bar is very much Flamenco oriented, i had a chat with the manager and bar staff who were all very friendly, they tell me that they will eventually be having live Flamenco dancing and music events, prices are very reasonable with a small beer for 1€, glass of wine for 1.50€ and 4/4.50€ for combinados ;).

Here are a few photos:- Los Lunares. - a set on Flickr

Are there any updates to the participants for Feb?

I think this is it but i am waiting for confirmation :-

Cafe d'eu Moll.
Geminis 18.
Ivy Garden 49.
Lunares.
Rustic Cafe.
Taps.

Can Tofol also participating despite appearing to be closed due to building work.

Ivy Garden was closed last Friday when we were en la Ruta however :(

Can Tofol are definitely closed until 5th March for holidays but the building work was causing them a lot of inconvenience.
I am still waiting to hear from the organiser but am wondering if she might be taking a holiday as well ;).

I have just been speaking with the organiser and this is the list although she is not absolutely sure about the Ivy Garden 49 ;).

Will Tapas Route remain on a Friday or are there plans to move back to a Thursday and if so from when

Personally I love the Thursday because it keeps Fridays free for the Hustlers in O'Haras

I can understand that, especially in the Summer - if people are going to go out on a Friday they will do irrespective of special offers

Tourists may not go out on a Friday if they are travelling home early on Saturday morning

Tapas Route on a Thursday may bring out people who would otherwise not venture out that night, is great for a night out on the penultimate evening of a weeks holiday and leaves Friday free for other things

AND O'Haras and Hustlers

Please move back to Thursday

As we really enjoyed last years Thursday night Tapas Route we vote for a move back to Thursday.

Like others have said Friday night is usually our last night and as such we reserve Stay or La Lonja for the special night.

Just booked for September but dont think I can hold out that long (may need to add a wee 4 day jaunt out in May).

Now how do we influence this decision?

Any ideas Sparky?

Tapas Route

I wonder if it's something to do with the local people in PP having to work the next day when it was on a Thursday evening?

One of the great things about the Tapas Route is that you suddenly see lots of local people as well out on the route, as well as tourists. :) And that all adds to the great atmopshere!
