Just take a change of flip-flops Sparky, you'll never notice after the first couple of bars! Enjoy! Just hoping they still keep the excitement going in a couple of weeks time -and dont run out of tapas!! ;)

Bella,
Yesterday you would have needed flippers!

Yes, the Port was buzzing again last night and even the places not taking part were quite busy, the atmosphere was brilliant again as well :D:D.

That's brilliant Sparky, so glad to hear there is a buzz about the place

Tapas at Rustic Cafe by pollensa, on Flickr

We had a great night out on the Tapas Route - see my photos on Facebook & also in the Pollensa Forum group on Flickr. I'm ashamed to say that we only managed 4 places - Rustic Cafe (see me above with Denise the organiser of the 'Ruta'), Hardleys, Ivy Garden 49 & Cafe Bellavista (out of 17) and then met Sparky at Nostalgia for another 2 hours... or so....

As everyone is saying the whole port is lively on that night & even places who are not participating, such as the restaurants, are benefiting. It really is an excellent way to try out some new places, as we did, & then go back another night.

So do try it when you're next out & Try Somewhere New!! :D

That's a very generous sized glass of wine, 4 would be enough for anyone :)

Looking forward to our next holiday :)

The weather was not good but the Port was busy again last night, i heard lots of very positive comments :D.
It's like La Ruta del Tapeo posted on FB "Thursday is the new Friday" ;).

Sod's law, innit - we're coming on Friday next and leaving on Wednesday - so no Thursday - grrr, but the day job intrudes!
Hopefully we'll make up for it on Saturday!

How did last nights Ruta del Tapeo go, any more reviews or photos?

We had a lovely evening doing part of the tapas route when we were out in early April - it's a fabulous idea and even early in the evening the bars were packed. The tapas were very generous (and delicious) too - so much so that when we went out to eat afterwards I was already full! And we'd only visited three places - some of the tapas is in incredibly generous portions! It was a lovely mixture of locals and tourists - and it's a cheap night out, hardly more than the price of a packet of crisps in the UK.

Hope the route in Pollensa manages to establish itself too, after such a rocky start.

disappointing im coming out on the Sunday and leaving on the Tuesday such a short trip and going to miss this as could graze all evening doing this
i will just have to try it in july when im out for the duration

This has just been posted on FB :-

Sorry to say Makassar and Pic-Nic are dropping out of the route for the month of May. We thank them for their participation in the route and hope to see them back later in the year.

Hot off the press....2 new bars will be joining to replace them, i am waiting to hear who they are.....watch this space ;).
