Tapas Route

Excellect idea for getting tourists into Bars they have not yet found just back on Saturday after 2 weeks at Bellresguard. PP now for the 3rd time but with 7month old Jessica this time. Only 1 small critiscism is that after being at a couple of Bars who served excellent unusual tapas, Ivy Garden and Neptunos on enquiring what they were and can we purchase at a later stage we were told it wasn't on the menu. (Neptunos goulash was to die for !)

PP still gives us a great holiday place with loads to do and great bars and restaurants. Bravo ! and great idea on the Tapas trail wish I could have goten around more.

We are now going to have a Ruta del Cocktail on Friday nights, this has been posted on FB .

Cada Bar de la Ruta del Tapeo Pollensa presentará 4 cocktails o cubatas a elegir por 3,50 euros. CADA VIERNES.
Each Bar on The Tapas Route will provide a choice of 4 Cocktails or Long Drinks to choose from at 3,50 euros. EVERY FRIDAY.

BARS: Rustic Café, Ivy Garden49, Can Tofol, Juniors, Café d'eu Moll, Geminis 18, Nico's, Rumbo, Tots, Taps, La Cabaña, Can Balache. (Lista puede ampliar con mas confirmaciones)

There are quite a few leaflets about with a mini-version of the poster & the map on the back & you should be able to get that from the tourist office BUT I will have another go at asking Denise, the organiser, for a PDF that can be downloaded from our main site. Watch this space!

A QR code is a 21st Century version of a bar code. You scan it with your phone using a QR code app on your phone. Once scanned the code contains instructions for iPhone to do something, usually to load a webpage.

You need to install an app first. On my iPhone I use the free app QR Reader for iPhone. If you have Android, Blackberry or Windows Phones you need to download an app for your phone.

Here is how to download and install the QR Reader for iPhone:

1. Go to the App Store on your iPhone

2. Search for and select the free version of QR Reader for iPhone

3. Click on the FREE button to install

Once it has installed run the app, point your iPhone at the QR code on your computer screen. The app will automatically scan the QR code and the Ruta del Tapeo page will magically load.

You can then select a bar and be taken to a location map.

Can't do that Lyn - my phone's not up to that! It's what I call a Fogey Phone and it doesn't do that too well either. I just need something that's nice and simple I can print off, but knowing about the leaflet is useful. Thanks

Oh it's Thursday....must be Ruta night , we are going to try a couple of the new additions tonight .

Can i just add, the rumours that the Ruta del Tapeo will be stopping in July/August are not true, as it says on the posters it is running all year.

This is such a great idea, but it needs more posters around the Port.

I have only noticed one, and only because I was aware of the route.

Also, many of the venues listed on the posters mean little or nothing to new visitors - Perhaps the scheme needs a more recognisable symbol, that the restaurants and bars could display?
