Read this topic with interest since it's start.

Last month spent a week in Cambrils on the mainland and had some great tapas.

They are having in Cambrils, a Tapas Route from 8th June to 17th.

there is a website

Cambrils, la mar de tapes. Tapes per a tots. with great photos and videos of the tapas being made.

We had a tapas lunch in Lekeitio and two tapas lunches in Lizarran a fave of ours and also drinks and a bocadillo lunch in La Cala served by the owner who appears on the video as do the two waitresses who got us drinks at other times.

Also for the first time tried vermut in La Casa del Vermut, you serve yourself from the bottle in the ice bucket and were attended by the waiter in the video.

all a great novelty to see on video places you were in a couple of weeks back!

hope to make PP later in the year for some tapas and other things too!

Citrus Bar & Bistro will be serving, chorizo & white bean broth with chicken, salmon & tuna fishcakes, selection of montaditos, with canita or small vino 1.50€ .

Rustic Cafe is serving their now famous pancakes filled with sausage and caramelized onions, Pincho of spanish omelette and chorizo, Filled Mushrooms and Montadito of fresh cheese and membrillo .

Hi , for the uninitiated!!! how exactly does this work?
do you just go to any of the bars involved and ask for the tapas? do you have to start at the first bar and go round them all ( maybe a few years ago !!! but no chance now).do you sign up with someone?
i only have a phone that phones so no scanning!!, do the bars advertise that they are on the route etc etc , sorry to ask but there is lots of pages to go through and i really really want to do this when i come out. i know that the good people on this forum will help me out ( crawler!!!!) cheers 4 weeks to go!
ps are kids ok on the route?

Hi there!

First of all do go to the First Post of this thread for the latest list. Basicaly of these bars & cafes will be offering the drink & tapas between 8-12 pm on a Thursday evening. There is NO NEED to follow any particular route. Just choose the ones you fancy & it's a great way to sample places you haven't tried before.

Once you arrive in the port there are posters & leaflets/maps about (try the tourist office) & I have asked for a leaflet/map to add to the main site that people can download. Most participating places also have a sign outside.

So just choose the bar(s) & just ask for the drink & tapas - they'll know what you mean. Cheers!

Kids are fine anywhere in PP.

The Ruta del Tapeo now have official recognition from the Pollensa Council, great news for them .
This has been posted on their FB page today :-

GOOD NEWS! Today I have been advised through the Ajuntamient of Pollença and the tourism office Pollença we have the logo of Pollença C for our advertising of the route of the Estepona tapas. We want to say thank you to Tomeu Cifre, Francisca Cerda, Maria Buades and David Alonso who have helped me with this issue. And in particular I want to thank all the girls so nice and always smiling offices of turisme de Pollença and Port de Pollença, for all his work and help. Does a great job these girls with the tourists and always well educated and willing to help... we can learn a lot from these girls! You have to see them work... impressiona! Hi Sparky. The PP Tapas route got a mention in the Saturday Express magazine article around Majorca(23rd June 2012) as one of the Top ten essential things to do whilst in Majorca. Along with 365 steps, and one or two other PP locations.
