La Bodeguita will not be on La Ruta this week as they have closed for a short holiday, they will re-open next Monday .

When will the day/start time for La Ruta change for the summer?

As far as i am aware it will remain on Thursday, not heard about the time change yet but it usually moves from 7-11pm to 8-midnight in June/July/August.

Just arrived and fancy giving it a try on Thursday to get into training for Saturday!

Couple of things - is there a map available anywhere with the participating bars on it?

And is the tapa in each bar one fixed one, or do you get to choose from their usual range?

Sadly Boca a Boca have closed down so will not be on La Ruta.

Oh No. What a shame. That was a great little place run by two lovely people. Food was superb. We will miss going in there!

Summer is here so La Ruta times have changed, it is now from 8pm until midnight .

A new bar is joining the Tapas Route in July, it's called "TYM Chill Out Bar" and is in Calle Mendez Nuñez beside the Flora Aparthotel............they will be serving cocktails and organic food from their own vegetable patch .

It's not next to either. It joins onto the Al Fresco takeaway and used to be a Spar shop many years ago. Been empty for some time and is in a good position.

I've not been in it but spoke to a lady working inside last month. She described it as a chill-out bar and I think it will have a courtyard area? Looking forward to having a bevvy in there soon!

Thats good news. That shop has been empty far too long. Hope it goes well for them and look forward to sampling their wares later this year!

It looks very smart, covered terrace out the front and large sofas made of pallets inside, very modern looking!

V excited to try the Ruta next week! On the basis that I am a teeny little bird and will fall over or explode if I attempt more than a handful of bars... what would people say are the ones not to be missed?
