Ryanair new online check in conditions

Hiya PPP,
Ryanair have recently changed their online check in policy.
basically if the duration of your visit is more than 15 days you are unable to do your online checkin for your return flight, prior to leaving home.
Where in the port can I access the internet & check in/print my boarding pass ?

There are plenty of Internet Cafes you can use, we have always used the one just off the square on Carrer del Llebeig to print our boarding passes.

Miriam, are you sure about this? I've just checked the email I received just before flying last week & it says 'Online Check-In Period - From 30 days to 2 hours before each scheduled flight.' Where does it say they have reduced the time?

I've had another look. They've reduced it if you haven't paid for an allocated seat which we had.

Changes to Online Check in Deadlines
2014-04-08
The opening times for online check-in are between 30 days and 2 hours before each flight.
Please note:
30 Day Advance Online Check-In is only available to customers who purchase their preferred allocated seat.

If you choose to purchase an allocated seat, there are 2 types available:

Premium Seat - Rows 1-5 (rapid exit), Rows 16 & 17 (extra leg room) and Rows 32 & 33 (rapid exit). Available from £/€ 10 (including Priority Boarding)
Regular Seat - Rows 6-15 & 18-31 available from £/€5. These seats can be upgraded to include Priority Boarding for a small supplement of £/€2.

7 Day General Online Check-In - Customers who don’t wish to pay for an allocated seat can check-in online between 7 days to 2 hours prior to each flight and will be allocated a seat free of charge

When we flew earlier this month with Ryanair from Bournemouth, we had the same situation with our homeward boarding cards and had to wait till the day before we travelled to print them off. I phoned Ryanair to see if there was a problem but they confirmed that I would not be able to print my homeward boarding pass till 14 days before my flight. We had purchased reserved seats for our homeward flight.

I am guessing here but wonder if it's to do with the new seat allocation policy. You can pay to reserve seats now - and Ryanair probably want to maximise revenue from this. All other passengers are then allocated a seat automatically by the 'system'.

I tried checking in on the 16th April for my return flight 30th and it wasnt possible.

We came out with Ryanair from Manchester (our first time with Mr O'Leary) and were impressed with the high level of customer service ��

Worth noting though, only the first 90 'carry on' cases were allowed in the cabin. Passenger 91 onwards stuff had to go in the hold. That should get everyone to the gate in good time��!

Also impressed with the firm action taken to calm a loud hen party prior to leaving Manchester. After two attempts at the safety lecture. He turned the volume of the PA up and said by law we have to give this info and you have to listen. If you don't listen, we don't take off. Simplzzz�� Henparty subdued for the rest of the flight.

Online check-in

Flybe are worse, there is no online check-in available for return flights from Palma which means getting to the airport earlier and waiting for ages in a long queue even though you only have hand luggage!

Totally agree Goldilocks...although Flybe are excellent in many ways, waiting in a long line in Palma Airport just to check in does not make for a happy end to a holiday........

Monarch have a crafty policy that you can only check in online if you pay extra for allocated seating otherwise you have to check in at the airport even if you only have hand luggage.

Ryansnare anticipate making in excess of 2 million nicker out of the new seat allocation, it will rise to £15 @ the end of next year, clever stuff.
This of course is disgraceful manipulation of what are a trapped clients, its not many years ago that every person on every plane had an allocated seat, what happened?
