Port de Pollença has a programme to celebrate the San Pedro fiestas this week - the patron saint of the fishermen. The Port usually reserves most of the celebrations for the Fiestas del Carmen next month however, Friday night there is the drum and cornet band announcing the start of the fiestas at about 1930hrs and then from 2200hrs there is a multi spectacular show with acrobats, magic and humour. Saturday 28th at 2000hrs do not miss the wonderful grilled sardines, tomatoes and wine with the compliments of the fisherman followed by local popular music for dancing from around 2200hrs. Sunday - best head to Port de Alcudia for land and sea procession - the boats are all decorated - great music show and then spectacular firework display at 0030. (Even more enjoyable if we are also celebrating a Spanish football win!!) however, here in Port de Pollença there is a small street procession followed by music. ENJOY - EVERYONE IS ALWAYS VERY WELCOME - ALL AGES.
