San Pere Pescador

Hello all

When we were in PP at the end of June last year there was a fiesta I think San Pere Pescador and there was music and food and drink at the harbour

Does anyone know if this is on every year and if so what are the dates as it was very plesant last year sat by the water with a bottle of Cava Thanks

I have not personally been out to see it, but there are a few forum members who have posted about this firework extravaganza each year at the end of June or July so I am pretty sure it is an ongoing fiesta for fishing port areas at that time of year.
I am also sure that someone who has actually been will post at some point to confirm it!

The fiesta de Sant Pere or Fira del Mar is at the end of June spread over a couple of days. We have been there the past two years so I think it is a regular event. As copper said it's a lovely festival to sit and take in the atmosphere with a drink, or wander around the harbour by La Llonja and the yacht club.....Cooking demonstrations of fish and sea food, stalls selling local produce , music, dancing and street processions.



The Virgen del Carmen is around the 16th/17th July and is my favourite

Yes Debz is absolutely correct the Fira Del Mar is a couple of days in June, it is about seafood and quite low key in comparison to the Virgen del Carmen in July which has the beach party and fantastic fireworks display.

I have not been when these festivals are on as the other half doesn't like it too hot!!

GL we always show the Fiestas on the calendar and publish times and details on this thread as soon as they are made available, unfortunately the organisers leave it very late before they announce itineraries.

We arrived on Sat 26th June last year and it was our first evening so came upon it by chance but would really like to see it again this year as it was such a nice evening but this time we wouldnt eat first !!
There were lots of local people there and families and we met some English people who had just arrived never been to PP before and couldnt remeber where they were staying ( especially after the Cava )!!
I did try emailing the tourist office but no response .....yet We will probably book for the same weekend and hope Thanks again

Is this same as...........

Is this the same San Pere fiesta as in Port Alcudia on the June 29th? Or is this only in Pollenca? Or even both places?

Mike, it's the same San Pere fiesta that is in several places. The Puerto Alcudia one is a far, far bigger event than Puerto Pollensa's as it is the main fiesta akin to Virgen del Carmen in Puerto Pollensa.
