Just had a wonderful long lunch in el Casinet, paella, fantastic, we asked if they were staying open through the winter and they said yes again, we said we were coming over in January and they said we should go with them to collect wood for the fire and see the tree being cut down, great honour and feeling of acceptance from them!! Looking forward to it already

The Pi de Sant Antoni 2020 awaits from this Wednesday at the Ternelles estate , prepared to lower it by car to Plaça Vella on January 17, fulfilling the ancestral tradition with which the pollencins celebrate the Festa de Sant Antoni since time immemorial . This year's issue measures 21.5 meters as reported by the mayor of Pollença, Tomeu Cifre Ochogavía (Tots).

If the figure that the mayor has given is correct, the copy exceeds the maximum length limit established by a committee of experts in 2019 for security reasons. He did it after in 2018 the Pi (which was around 22 meters) split almost in half by forcing him to enter Plaça Vella, injuring two people, one of them seriously. «This year it measures 21.5 meters, it is within the limit. It is a correct size, ”said Cifre Ochogavía yesterday.
