The weather is balmy, I am sitting on the balcony sunbathing with sun cream on!! :):)

How long did it take them to climb the tree today? Looks like you had great weather for it and for the bonfires last night.

20 mins or so, just about right, the weather was balmy again, I helped pull the tree around which made my trip, we had an absolute blast of a time, if you have ever thought about coming over for the fiesta, I urge you to try it, you will not be disappointed, arguably the weather really helped to make it so special but whatever the weather you will have a memorable time

We have been out many times for this fiesta - always enjoyed ourselves but not always had the weather you had today.

Have to agree, mainly because of the weather, this has been the best Sant Antoni we have ever been to. Brilliant night last night meeting friends at the Yacht Club for drinks and then onto El Casinet where we had delicious Arroz Brut and barbequed meats and mucho vino tinto. The live music and Mallorquin bagpipes added to the fun. Then upwards and onwards to Nostalgia until 4.30 am.. oh dear my head this morning

The tree climbing was over fairly quickly but, as always, there was a great atmosphere in the square. Finally to round of a great couple of days a late lunch ( or early dinner) in Centric.

Early to bed tonight :)

Yes it was a fantastic San Antoni, we met up with a few forum members which is always nice :D. The weather was perfect but it's going to pot from tomorrow .

I will post some photos later.

Sparky - Realise the effects of the storm have rather overtaken matters, but will there be any San Antoni photos ? .. thanks

Terrific pictures, Lyn. The calm before the storm!

We were fortunate to be invited to a plate of Arroz Brut (which was delicious) in Geminis 18, i don't usually drink alcohol during the day but made an exception, well rules are made to be bent sometimes ;).

Yes, many thanks for those, Sparky. Does anyone have any snaps of the fires themselves. It always amazes me how close they are set to the buildings ..

Understandably, it looks like the San Antoni festival will be largely cancelled in January 2021 (due to Covid19 restrictions) .

According to the Majorca Daily Bulletin:- "On Wednesday, Pollensa town hall announced that all events for the Sant Antoni fiestas in January have been cancelled."

So sad but understandable, can’t believe it was only a year ago we were over for 2020, so much has happened, so much sadness, but here’s hoping we can get over again for next year’s fiesta, we will have our own bonfire on Saturday and raise a glass to all of you over there, stay safe and well and hope you can get the vaccine soon
