Excellent - and very swift - response.
Many thanks for that Sparky, you're the 'oracle' of everything PP for us 'peeps' back in the old UK.

Shame not more aircraft turning up, but it's about time this place was opened up properly to the public every day instead of being used as a holiday camp for NATO staff

They were quite strict early on - we were there about 11.30 and they had just started not really checking by the time we got to the front just before 12. but you still need to have ID. The people in front of us had to wait whilst someone dashed back to get some, but by the time they got through and we saw them again, they said they were no longer checking!
I think it was because the queue had become so long in that heat that the officers took pity and just got people moving in before the acrobatics startted.

And next year of course you will be queing with your new little Grandaughter! Many congratulations by the way Bella - nanna Bella! Sounds wonderful!

Just caught up with this thread and what fun it seems to have been too. Great photos Seacaptain and just love the colours of the planes. I hope this will be an annual event as would love to attend. Weather looked wonderful too.

Thank you eleanor, I can't believe she will be a week old tomorrow ~ time flies! ;)

Pretty sure the seaplanes will be regular, and will attract more people and hopefully more planes, but even the few we did see were pretty amazing, and it was great to be allowed to go inside those gates and look at the port from a different perspective. Hope you can make it next year! :)

I cannot find any more information about any Seaplane events in 2013. Has anything been advertised for 2013? Any information gratefully received.

Thanks for the link Lynn, been onto the web site and downloaded the programme of events. We shall be in PP for May so I guess I know where I'll be, aviation being a hobby of mine.
