The tarmac works should really be the last part of the works now, or is there more to be done?
(bicycle stands for example).

The thing we noticed when we were out a couple of weeks ago were people propping their bikes to the wooden frames surrounding the newly planted trees. Not just the odd bike but six or seven around the same tree! If that were to continue for any length of time the new frames will get ruined and possibly the trees damaged too.

The other thing that hadn't been implemented was the installation of rubbish bins. Not sure if these have been put in place yet, but if not will surely create problems in the summer months.

Looking forward to seeing the road markings being done, this should be a complete joy to behold, anybody know what time is kick off?

Wow, they've certainly gone overboard with the bus "shelter",
Could they have actually made it any smaller?

What on earth are some of the "powers that be" in PP on, cos I'd certainly like some!

The bars opposite certainly aren´t complaning, bit like the beach chiringuitos who are apparently selling more booze and food due to the temporary lack of beach brollies.

Town hall responds to Puerto Pollensa criticisms » Balearics » News » Majorca Daily Bulletin

Pollensa's councillor for urban planning, Tomeu Cifre Bennàsar, has responded to charges from the former mayor, his cousin Tomeu Cifre Ochogovia, ...

Cifre Bennàsar says that the fact that work on the project has not been completed is the consequence of it having been approved by the previous administration (when Tomeu Cifre Ochogovia was mayor). This was "inadequate" and has meant that there has to be the second phase this winter. On the ramps, he says that there was not provision for their payment in the project.

Junts Avançam, which is the main governing political grouping at the town hall (Cifre Bennàsar is a member of the Junts), has released a statement on its Facebook account in which it explains that the raised ramps were needed before the commencement of the second phase.
...
The statement adds, as has previously been suggested, that the level of the road, when the second phase is done, will be at the same height as the pavements.

There will be no parking along the front on Friday 20th May from 8am until work is finished for painting the road markings. This has been posted on FB by the local police :-

Better belt down in a Ford Ka going over the high speed bumps along the front.;);):o

to Roy & myra.

No Point in hiring A Car , If they put a bike lane on the land side there will be no Parking spaces. From looking at the webcam , even though there are very few people on the beach the parking lane on the sea side is virtually full already. big issue from June onwards.

Looks like new dashed lines are spouting on the land side down from Tamarells and outside the Panorama.
For parking?

Surprisede that the end lines of the parking areas are almost flush with the side road (for example Sea Bar).
