I think all the Chinese,except La Vila are the same company(if that's the right word) as are the 1 euro shops, in fact the new Japanese looks pretty Chinese to kme as well!

I don't think that's correct. Serentity Coast (which this thread is about) is owned by the peopole who own Luna de Miel & Pascalino. I had heard that Luna de Mile was relocationg (possibly temporarily) to Serenity Coast.

Someonw has alread said that the other new one in the square has the same owners as the one near Hibiscus.

Am not sure who owns the new Japanese.

Interesting cos just trying to enjoy me post meal coffee and brandy on the balcony and the old chinese music starts up again. Intrigued I wander down and the chinese acrobats are performing,again, outside Serenity . Perched on tables and chairs nearly as high as the pine tree in San Antoni they are cavorting around . Obviously trying to drum up business ( Sparky , your 32 Euro "take away" ain't sustained em for long !!! ).

Still better than Friday night when we had all the Euro candidates addressing us in the same place. I , and a few stray pooches, had a real bundle of larfs listening to that lot .

Never a dull moment here, weather fabulous though but so it is in the UK ?

We decided we would like to eat chinese tonite and I thought that I had read of a new one next to Bonys but that turned out to be an italian ??? Anyway we headed up towards the Church...( C'an Andreu appears to be up for sale and was closed) and stopped to look at the Serenity Coast menu... I think we were hijacked.. cos 3 of 'em had us seated with menus in place before we knew what was happening ! lol That said, we had a very enjoyable MdD. (Also the spring rolls on the menu were meat and wanted veg... not a problem, likewise the sweet & sour was pork and we wanted chicken) The staff were very attentive with the Head lady even cutting up my Father's dinner for him (paralysed on one side) Included in meal was ½L each fizzy water and coffee/chinese tea rounded off with schnapps(served in a very 'interesting' vessel...make sure u look to the bottom of the glass) and one of those lovely scented fans for my Mum & me. And all for 24 euros for the 3 of us !

In any Chinese restraunt/carry out Buckfast is always availible on draught.

Tried this restaurant 3 times in the last 3 weeks, the quality of food, service and decor are absolutely outstanding! Do not compare this restaurant to other chinese restaurants in the area, it is a different dining experiance. (refurbuished at a cost of 300,000 euros). It breaks my heart to see restaurants like this, and the likes of O'Lume empty when there are others i wouldn't let my dog dine seem to prosper.

Unless you do not like Chinese food i would urge you to go, it's like dining a palace.

We tried the steamed sea-bass with ginger on the owners recommendation, preceded by a peking duck as a starter, i thought i had died and gone to heaven!
