It was actually "Mr Round" and i am hoping his first name is "MY" ;)

Ha ha.....good one sparky!!!!

Seriously though, it's a bit of good news in amongst all the doom and gloom!!

Yes indeed Lillianna, it was so sad to see it still boarded up and of course desperately needed jobs have been created. :D

Fantastic news! Really happy for all the staff who have got their jobs back. I'm coming over around then and was not looking forward to the sight of the hotel looking neglected, such a lovely place which sums up the beauty and atmosphere of PP.

Update

The outside of the Hotel is being painted today. The famous Mr Round had coffee in the Capri after the deal was struck! Further information will be given as I get it!

hope they have the bar out on the terrace again, it looked graet at night

couldnt agree more is always our fave place to stop on way home after dinner was wondering where we would stop in july dont need to now

The name of the owner appears to be Barclay, not Round! There is a sign outside saying bookings are now being taken, you can go inside to book. All the staff are starting on Monday & cleaning the hotel.

Thanks to everyone who has been giving updates on Sis Pins - what fantastic news. I look forward to hearing how bookings can be done and if they can be done through a particular booking agent. Unfortunately I have booked for Portugal this year, but would definately book as soon as possible. Look forward to hearing more about Sis Pins.

Heard good news from Josep at La Singala last night.
He has confirmed that they are to re-open on June 11TH.
A website containing details of how to book ect is being created and should be available shortly.

Super!!! Who has bought La Singala

Thanks guys for all the info, especially Sea Captain.

We'll need to wait and see how it all develops.

Sis Pins has been an icon of PP for so many years , just hope it remains so.

How long until there is a hole in the wall cash machine though? :D

La Singala

La Singala has not been sold yet.
Apparently there is funding for it to re-open and it is to be put up for sale as a going concern.
As soon as I have more details on the forthcoming webpage I'll post the details.

That's strange - I received an email this morning from Josep (La Singala's manager) to say that they are opening on the 11th June...

Apologies, ignore my surprise regarding the email from La Singala. I initially failed to absorb the fact that there is current funding for the reopening, although I would be still be very wary.

Delighted about Sis Pins, though tinged with sadness - we were devastated when our booked July fortnight was snatched away last December! We are now booked for the Daina Apartments, and are very apprehensive after reading quite a number of poor reviews - any words of reassurance?!

For anyone heading to Sis Pins or La Singala - LUCKY YOU! We've stayed at both and had truly magical holidays. Hope they keep up their impeccable standards under new management.
