Hi

We are due to come in early April and I am just wondering if anyone can advise me if I can sit outside to eat of an evening with a jacket on or would I be best to sit inside? Not sure how cold it will be of an evening?
Thanks

Lots of places have calor heaters. We ate al fresco at Centric in the Old Town in November.

Stay has very good and powerful heaters on its terrace, as do a few other places - some restaurants provide blankets. You will definitely need a jacket or jumper if you are determined to sit outside. Personally, in the evenings I would choose an inside table if there are no heaters - but then I am a bit of a wuss.

Over the years in April we sat outside in the evenings more times than I can remember, but to be fair that is from someone that has been known to B-B-Q stuff in England in January.

Most restaurants use terrace heaters and they are very effective as long as it isn't windy ;).

You must be made from sterner stuff than I!

I love June for sitting outside eating in the evening. Really warm until Midnight, but without the humidity that can blight an August evening - Perfect!

Probably stems from the fact that for over 40 years I worked outside all year round which probably explains my tolerance to cold weather :)

I always take boots too at this time of year (wear them on the plane) as although patio heaters warm your top half, my feet always seem to freeze after the sun goes down.

Inside or Outside

Most people were eating Inside as the air was very chilly and in my case I needed a good jumper and coat. The temperature seems to drop 10% between the sun and shade. Also your meal is never served Hot like in UK so quickly goes cold.
Did notice everywhere opening up this weekend so nearly everyone will be open. Bony's is opening on the 4th April ( Maybe) according to his poster.

Thanks for all the advice. I will sit indoors I think! :)

Currently in Puerto Pollensa and I don't know if we have been very lucky as not been this time of year before, but how lovely is the weather! I cant get over it! I have however sat inside of an evening as I am not one for the cold, but the days have been fabulous. So glad I've come 😊

I know, how lucky are we? We were having drinks outside at the Cantina in the Marina last night and it was still bathed in warm sunshine at 7.30PM....when the sun goes down it does get a bit chilly very quickly, so those coming out in the coming days may feel they'd rather eat inside unless they are very brave - but so far we have had lunch in the sun every day (and have needed factor 50 if not in the shade so we don't get burnt!)

Now that May is almost here is it feeling warm enough to sit outside
to eat in the evenings? We arrive this Friday 5/5 and it looks like the temperature is due
to rise by the end of the week hoping the forecast is correct.

Have no fear , I arrive the next day and so confident am I that I have packed my gold lame shorts for evening wear.
