Wow, great pics. Assume they were taken in front of the Stay restaurant?
The clouds look like blown glass?

Wow Jonsey - amazing pics:eek: Just hope we dont see any of those clouds tomorrow or the next couple of weeks;)

Saw the same clouds Jonsey, amazing, never seen anything like it, will find out at work tomorrow what they are called and let you know, we were coming back from Alcudia on bikes and stopped to take these!

I ain't no expert, but seem to recall something on the news recently about a new type of cloud formation being 'discovered' and given a suitable 'cloud' type name.
The pictures certainly show an unusual formation - wonder if this is what the news report was talking about?

Make what you will of Undulatus asperatus.

Speaking to the experts at work it would seem this was indeed a rare occurrence of this newly named cloud, they are quite excited by the pictures on here, if anyone else has anymore they would be interested in seeing them so please post. Also, coincidently, at the same time this cloud was forming over PP, on the Friday night BBC 1 show 'The One Show' they had a item all about the clouds, its on iPlayer if you want to see it.

I am sure this was earlier in the day when we had those strange clouds, comming back from Alcudia on the bus, the beach was deserted.

Thos was taken a few seconds later, but already the formation has changed slightly

And this was a few minutes earlier, not so impressive of the clouds , but you can still see them.

I won`t be offended if you remove them, if they are not what you were after regarding the clouds.

Does my heart good to see folk still notice things like this instead of walking around with their heads angled down at 45 degrees staring at a bl---dy screen all day . Well done !!:)

Thanks for the extra picture Wilcoxon, they are also brilliant, I will pass them on. :)

Some great photographs on this page..... once in a lifetime opportunities, thanks to all for posting them.
It just reminds me that I need my Pollensa area fix!!
