Just wondered if anyone had hired a car from a company called Sun Car rentals, price seems good, any feedback would be appreciated

Fraud at Sun Car (allegedly)
The Travel Section of the Sunday Times today is reporting that Sun Car appears to be a Latvian scam. Many reports of customers booking - and pre paying - for rental cars all over Europe, finding on arrival that the car hire companies are not honouring the Sun Car booking. Sun Car - surprise surprise - don't seem to be paying their bills.
Always felt a bit twitchy about paying the cost up front - one of the reasons I stick with Record. You don't part with your wad till you sign the paperwork at the airport.
Sorry if this upsets anyone pre booked with Sun Cars - full story in the Sunday Times, but perhaps better knowing sooner rather than later.

""Meanwhile City of London Trading Standards confirmed that a “multi-agency investigation” into Decode Car Hire and SunCar was underway, but refused to disclose specific details of the operation, advising victims to contact Consumer Direct, Action Fraud and their credit-card company, where Section 75 refunds could be applicable.""
