Bumped thread after nearly a year.! We have just arrrived today and The Corb Mari deli has closed which is a real shame, any suggestions for some where similar, Mallorcan Frito, Russian Salad, stuffed aubergine type of thing, so I guess a tapas takeaway is what I'm looking for.

Seeing this post has inspired me to reply. After a heavy day on the beach and staggering back with beach bags, a broken flip flop and worse for wear at 10 o'clock we called st the Casa Manolo take away. Super meal for three which we had in our lovely garden at only 18 euros was great. Always walked past this take away but have been greatly surprised at freshly cooked food and value for money. Give it s try if you haven’t been. :)

Don't forget Al Fresco for all your takeaway requirements. Extensive menu from a basic cheese butty to Mallorcan stuff which I can't name, spell, or pronounce. I'm very good at pointing, though.
The only disappointment was when I turned up and they were closed for a day off.:D

Previously I would also have recommended Al Fresco deli but we stopped using them last year - quality down but prices up. If anyone has used them more recently I would appreciate an update.

Moll de Bellagio also now have a takeaway menu but this is for main meals not snacks. The quality is the same as the restaurant. Recommended

Whenever I am over I generally shop at the large Eroski and at the same time pick up a roast chicken and roast potatoes from the bar on the corner of the building.

They also have a large selection of tapas to either eat there or take away. Open every day from 9 until 9.

La Vall butchers, apart from roast chicken also do roast rabbit and something else which I can’t remember, but is obviously sold by them.

We have used Al Fresco over the years and have always been satisfied, including during our latest visit. There have been changes in ownership over that time but the original successful concept seems to have been carried through till now.

No doubt we will be checking it out next month.

Best takeaway roast chicken is Golden Lion. We have in the past even seen other restauranteers , we will not name them, buying them in bulk. Including a bottle of their wonderful gravy.
Highly recommended.

Can highly recommend both Al Fresco and Mattarello, after using them both over the last couple of weeks. Wasn't sure about Al Fresco when I read the menu, it seemed very English in its offerings, but when we went in and spoke to them found that they do a few local dishes, had really good Tumbet, Torlilla, and meatballs all home made. Mattarello just up the main drag from Eroski City more Italian in style but excellent home made food which varies daily.

Al Fresco is run by an Irish lady and her Mallorquin husband so it’s a lovely international mix of food and flavours. The homemade quiches, tortilla and assortment of salads are lovely as is their suckling pig, tumbet, and albóndigas, which just need reheating in the oven. Perfect for a night in.

Sandwiches, bagels, baguettes ,wraps and salads are all made to order, and are brilliant for picnics on the beach too :)

Suckling Pig? Didn't see that last unfortunately, do you have to order it, it's one of my favourite dishes to have. Thanks

The traditional dishes are prepared daily so I think it’s what they have on the day. Might be worth asking if it can be preordered.

Has anyone tried the new deli in Carrer de les Monges, called L'Epicurien yet?
It's run by chef owner Nabile Tine who used to be in charge of the kitchen at Il Giardino in Pollensa apparently.
It's opposite Hostal Bellavista and going by the Facebook page the choice of food (and drink) looks really lovely. It's on our list of places to try next week. ;)

I’d be very interested to hear how you enjoy it, and what the prices are like. We looked at it but we’re put off by the total lack of any visible pricing of what’s available.
