The posting this message refered to was removed, We would like to thank Pollensa for this, The less we see of these type on postings the better.
Can we now get back on track with this thread and discuss Tango.

Rob & Caroline

Well Pops, what can I say about Tango? that you haven't raved about already? lol.

The Food: Fantastic as usual was out of this world, thank you Pollensa for helping me achieve a new experience, I just loved the Paella!!!!!!!!. The suckling pig looked fantastic as did the lamb!.

The Drink: We had Sangria by the Jug Mmmmmmmmmm, Did I leave any?. Jane you don't know what you missed.

The Company: World Class!, Wish you could have joined us Timberman & Mrs and Charlotte & Co. As for the "Gatecrasher" she was more than welcome in our company everytime she popped over :lol . Can you guess who our "gatecrasher" was?:rollin :lol . Can we do this again next year?.

The Staff: We couldn't ask for better, but I must admit to being a little sad when the old waiter told Sophie & Michael that he'd eaten all the ice cream:eek :eek :eek , so I just had to have more sangria instead:lol . Marcus was a gentleman and it was very nice to meet him and look forward to meeting him again.

Missing: Nothing!. Unless you weren't there that is, Next time no excuses PM;) .

The Night: A howling success, we were blown away (well almost), nothing could have dampened our night. Not even the fact we had to walk back to the hotel because of the massive ques at the taxi rank.

Thanks everybody for a fantastic last" night in PP.

Rob & caroline

Sorry we didn't join you for the meal on that stormy night, but we did try Tango's a few nights later and we had a lovely meal. Tried the Sole it was very nice and it wasn't served with the usual chips or jacket potato but some very tasty veg.
Glad I listened to Snowy and Pops about Tango's, a must go to restaurant.

Timberman

Timberman,
so glad you took our advice and went to Tango. It really is an excellent restaurant. The food was first class this summer and we ate there quite a few times. The staff as usual were fantastic. They really are so professional but fun at the same time. It was also lovely to meet you and your wife. We had a good laugh.

ROB,
Glad you enjoyed your paella, and was pleased you liked the staff.I'm sure Luis will love to be known as the old waiter, lol-he's a great guy, as is Marcus. It was a good night on the saturday. It was nice to see some faces from the forum. Hope to speak to you and Caroline soon.

Snowy,
guess what? I got it lol.
Pops

Pops I loved the paella (thank you again Pollensa;) ) The staff as usual were fantastic and the company well what can I say but "out of this world!"
no doubt we will catch up with you and your family in Tango again.
We had a great time and look forward to seeing everybody again.

Rob

Hi Rob!

Just to say thank you for arranging to meet us all in Tango on Saturday 20th. When you could have been enjoying a romantic meal on your last night in PP you were with us!

I so enjoyed the restaurant and we did try and eat there again during our stay but the place is so popular we couldn't get a table.

The food was delicious (have a bit of regret that I didn't join you in trying the paella, but the lamb was beautifully cooked), the company was great and a brilliant night was had by all. The waiters were fantastic with the kids and us adults were able to relax because of it. Even the dramatic storm raging outside added to the atmosphere!

Perhaps it should be an annual event!;)

Regards
Jane:D

Yes Rob, the romantic meal!

Can't imagine you'd get away with taking Caroline all the way to Pollensa on a push-bike more than once a year.

Even with the go-faster tea lights.

Talk soon!
Jane:D

Caroline did tell you about our last Cycle back from Pollensa didn't she:D . So you see I know how to give a girl a good time filled with memories they find hard to forget:lol .

Unlike Tango where when the storm struck we were safely tucked up inside:lol

Rob

Just returned from PP again and ate at all the usual favourites, however did try a new restaurant during my few days there.

Tango however topped the rest again. The food was fantastic, staff were as friendly as ever and the service second to none and full of spanish too,(many important people from the military base apparently) all having a great time, and we all enjoyed a good dance with them and Paquita.

Pops

Sounds like you had a good time Pops, hope it's as much fun when we visit in 2 weeks time.
Take care.
Rob

Well it was as much fun!. We ate there 2 times this visit.

I must tell you red meat lovers this. I had a steak at Tango the first night we ate there, I'm very fond of a good steak. this was not a good steak! I've ate steaks in some of the best places in the UK, this steak was nothing like the best I've eaten in the UK! I am proud that Scotland produces the finest steak in the UK! this steak was nothing like Scotland's finest! By now you think you know what I'm about to say ....
....................................well your wrong!!!!!!
The steak I ate at Tango a few weeks ago makes every other steak I've ever eaten look like and old piece of leather! Cooked to perfection the steak was out of this world. I had never tasted a steak so perfect and thought I never would again until .............................................................. We ate at Tango again on our last night, and I thought " maybe it was a fluke.......a one off" so i once again ordered the steak just as I'd done a few nights before. It wasn't a one off, it wasn't a fluke, once again I was served a steak that was cooked to perfection.

Thank you Tango for what in my opinion has been the 2 best steaks I have ever eaten in my life!.

Rob

shhh Rob, Tango is busy enough already. The steaks are good tho.

Just arrived back after 3 weeks however was only supposed to be there for 2, but due to circumstances beyond my control, had no choice but to stay an extra week, albeit in Muro hospital with one of my kids.

Once again thanks to the staff at Tango for some great nights. The food was fantastic, service excellent and although the pool table was broken, Manolo gave my kids the key, to open it and play whenever they wanted.

Finally, the staff were fantastic and so helpful and kind whilst in hospital, particular thanks to Marcos, Jose and Isobel for much welcome visits.

Sadly some of the younger staff left earlier this week and the terrace closed for the winter. Hopefully they'll be back in the spring.

I'm sure I speak for all of us on the Forum when I say we are sorry to hear that one of your children have been unwell, it must have been difficult for you and I know it is one of those situations where every parent dreads the thought of their children taking unwell so far from home. We do hope that your child feels a lot better and is well on the road to full recovery.

I think it was so very warm and considerate of the staff from Tango to take time out to visit you and your child in hospital. How many British places would have done the same?

Next time we're in Tango we'll leave an extra tip for the staff.
Take care.

Rob

Like I have always maintained, we don't just go to Tango for the food, but because it is owned and staffed by some wonderful people.

By the way Rob thanks for the good wishes, she is improving every day.
