I hope someone on this forum can answer this query.

I understand the post-Brexit 90 day rule re Schengen area visit and total of 183 days in any calendar year. What I cannot find areany rules re duration that is required to be outside this area before returning.

For example if I stayed here in April, May and June returning to UK on the 90th day (30th June), could I fly back to Mallorca the next day and stay a further 90 days?

Thanks

The way I read it on various sites, though I'm more than happy to stand corrected, you have to wait for 90 days before you can return to the Schengen area.

I find it incredible that the U.K. Government has brought in these foreign travel restrictions on their own citizens. It’s almost as if we are trying to punish ourselves …

It is as a direct result of Brexit the gift that keeps on giving. Not the UK Government . All they did was allow an ill informed country to vote for something without knowing the true consequences.
As a result uk citizens are no longer classed as European . And as such cannot travel work or stay freely within Europe and other Shenzhen regions . This is just the tip of the iceberg:(:(

Give us a break, will you.

And please don’t refer to me as “ ill informed”

Thank you

C’mon chaps……I enjoy this forum because opinions can be exchanged without acrimony. Don’t spoil it, please.

I agree but I was not expressing an opinion I was answering a question with facts. No Acrimony . Afraid some people do not like to see or hear the truth ;)
I f you look at the thread I was answering the question as to why the 90 day rule

The consequences of Brexit for so many of us will create acrimony for the next decade. Most people who voted for Brexit were ill informed, many were racist. Nobody on this forum actually read the full Brexit Deal. Even Johnson did not read it. The consequences in relation to fine detail are only now emerging.

Ok lets move on now, only post info about the 90 day rule. thank you.

Here, here! The Forum is really not the place for political discussion. Whatever views we have about Brexit, it’s happened, and it’s fine to talk about the problems people may face, but can we please concentrate on practicalities and solutions, instead of blaming something that cannot be changed…..no matter how much some people may sincerely wish it could.

The information about how to comply with the 90 day rule is MUCH more useful than whining on about bloody Brexit!

I think you will find that the information given was very clear and nobody was whining about anything , A question was asked and the answer was given . it is always helpful to read the entire thread before jumping to conclusions . thank you

You have all made your points, now please stop.

Any more posts that are not giving info on the subject will be deleted .

The apps that you can download for the 90 day rule are very helpful as trying to keep track of the 90 in 180 on a rolling basis can be very confusing! I am in and out all the time and do not want to break any rules or regulations, having the app allows me to keep track, and 'predict' forward for dates so that I can work out exactly when I start to 'regain' days, in all honesty I have no idea how I would keep track otherwise, I think when we all have to buy the ETIAS form at the end of this year, our entries and exits will be 'logged' automatically onto a system, for now I am not sure there is an actual 'official' method of checking by the authorities other than going back through all the stamps in your passport, however, I personally would not want to risk an overstay, hence the app. I use one called 90 Days Schengen which is on an android, (Samsung), not apple. Just getting used to a new normal!
