Has anyone else noticed the creeping ubiquity of hoposa.com?
Previously independent and genuinely eclectic establishments are gradually becoming one and the same.
The giveaway sign is the tell-tale Orange menu. You see it at the Daina, at the Pollentia, at the Hotel Niu in Cala San Vincenc. You spot it a breakfast bar on the pine walk. You'll find it in Cafe Illa in Pollensa Square and at the cafe at the foot of the Calvari steps.
The menu is the same. The food is the same. All sourced from a single depot. All cooked to the same depressingly low standard. Sadly it's all part of the move to an orange homogeneity in the area.
Even the Illa D'Or is part of this bourgeoning, all-encompassing, thoroughly dispiriting group.
