Hi

Am experiencing a turmoil of feelings! Excitement is not strong enough a word! Nervous about the journey ahead but am very much looking forward to treading our chosen pathway.

We have started the process of purchasing our property. I will post more details when I am able.

The very Best of Luck Max & do keep us informed and of course do ask for help when you need it. We have some lovely, helpful members on here whom I sure will point you in the right direction.

I'm hoping to come out at Easter so it would be great to meet up,

Well done on making a decison and the very best of luck for the next few months. There are many of us on this Forum and in Puerto Pollensa who will be happy to make the journey a pleasant and easy one. Congratulations and keep us all up to date.
 
Hi all

I am flying out on the 9th to register on the island......wow I am very exited and the move can't happen quick enough.

There have been various responses form joy to tears when we told family and friends. Most tears dissolved when they realised they can come to visit!

The biggest decision for me was to leave my boys. A 24 year old who is doing a PHD and lives with his beautiful girlfriend and a 21 year old in his second year at university. I worry about the younger as his girlfriend goes home to the USA in Sept so this could be a challenging time....he may decide to follow her!

So much to organise before move day but we are keeping our home here as my husband will need a base here for work. This makes the move for my easier as I only need a few things initially and Alan can bring things out as I decide what I want!

I am looking forward to starting the next chapter..... Hoot to meet many of you along the way

Maxalan, get your self set up with skype and a camera and you will find you can have as much contact as you want. We left 3 girls and 3 grandchildren behind but they will agree with me when I say that we now spend quality time with them when they come, even if this is for just a weekend, more than the snatched coffees on the way to or from the supermarket that we were used to. My eldest granddaughter is at Uni and again via skype keeps us upto date with all her news and even uses us for some of her projects. Good Luck
 
Lollipop, I was about to say the same thing. Ensure all family and good friends have skype set up on their computers before you leave, practice whilst you are at home and then you can speak free of charge and see each other as often as you like. Its free to set up, just download from the link.
Good luck and have fun with this new venture. Remind us before you come and we can meet up in Marina Cafe for a glass of something to celebrate and welcome you, I am sure Sparky will be around too.
 
Thanks for the advice. I have Skype already as I have friends in Austrailia so I just need to set up various family and friends. It would be good to meet up for a drink!

Another week down and getting closer to the move. We have just got back from Malaga after a weeks rest and am now getting ready to go to Barcelona for my best friend's daughter's hen weekend!

With that and my trip to Palma to register and meet my gestor I have not had a minute to think!

I have started to de-clutter the house as I would like to leave it with minimal furnishings ( easier to keep clean! ).

I have not got photo's to post yet but will keep you up to date with any progress.

The lads are more exited than us! Free holidays on the horizon perhaps?

I will need some advice on cheap mobile phone contracts, television connection etc and
Internet conection for when I move. I would welcome any info!

We are very envious as we have to wait until my youngest is off to uni so can't come out permanently until 2017 :-( very frustrating! She doesn't mind at all as it's always been the plan and anyway will still have her dad and siblings in UK. In any event we're out in a couple of weeks to complete on a little apartment in PP and can't wait! Good luck to you!
