So I was speaking with Lorenzo yesterday bemoaning the fact that I was to fly home today and my next visit wasn't scheduled until July - which is far to long to wait.

I then hit upon a great excuse to return - I had a white plastic chair that needed cleaning and so I decided I would need to return in May to clean the chair

This got us wondering what other daft excuses we all dream up

So who can beat cleaning a chair ?

Once we realised we had left a bottle of water out of the fridge.Drove me mad for two months!!!!!

Some friends bought us a lovely wooden Ghekko (Gordon obvs) after their Summer visit, and we had hung him on one of outside balcony walls. When I read the weather was very stormy in PP we flew out for a long weekend in February to rescue him in case he blew away!

Lamest excuse ever but it had to be done ☺️

We have gone out 'to do some watering'. This, in the middle of the rainy season.

Well - the winter/early Spring, when it does usually rain a bit!

Because they serve my Gin and tonic in a long glass rather than a huge "bowl" in my local at home! Urgh! Best excuse I can think of for heading back out asap!

I lost a 1 cent piece whilst waking along the beach from Llenaire to La Gola, I have to go back and find it, I can't afford to go around throwing money away like that.
If you see a man scouring that section of beach in May please stop and help.

To make sure various barmen don't forget how to make a great Brandy Alexander!

Last year on returning from PP I realised I had left my "English" wallet in our apartment with all my cards. I flew back to get my bus pass after one week!!

I was sorry to read that Hamcas lost his 1 cent piece on the beach, so along with the other 500 people I would like to do the same neighbourly act and go and help him find it.
