Tonight the first part of the 3 Kings fiesta takes place, in PP at 6pm there will be a procession from the church to the Yacht club and then at 7pm outside of the council offices (the old school) the children hand in their letters to the Kings saying what presents they would like to receive on Thursday night.

Tonight will see the main event, The Three Kings will arrive at 6pm. The torchlit parade slowly moves along the Pinewalk, the kings and others throwing sweets for the children who scamper around picking them up, they are all so excited. The parade winds it's way into the square and some of the children's names are called out for them to go and receive a gift from one of the kings. As all things "Spanish" are, it's very noisy but the atmosphere is wonderful, this one is for the kiddies, the grown-ups will have to wait for San Antoni for their fun.:D:D

As is the norm here, there has been a change of plan .
The Kings procession will not be using the Pinewalk tonight, it will now come up C/Formentor. I am told this is because of the ongoing work to replace the street lamps along the front.

Despite the gale that was blowing last night it was a very mild 19c, the Port was heaving with people. There was the usual noise that comes with all Spanish fiestas from firecrackers and thunderflashes to the excited children running riot and of course a great atmosphere but by about 8.30pm the square was practically deserted again. Here are the photos we took, i am afraid some of them are a bit dark :- 2012 Fiestas. - a set on Flickr.

Good photos Lyn. They dont seem to change their floats much from year to year though do they, obviously a money saving exercise, and understandable as only one day a year!

Thank you Bella. Yes they do like to recycle here ;) but i suppose if they had made new floats they would have been criticised for wasting money. I guess it's case of "damned if they do and damned if they don't". Still brightened up a winters night although with the mild temperature it felt more like early summer :D.

Yes it was Animagic and really does prove that the best things in life are free ;):D.
