Another rumble of thunder shakes the building and the TV is going on the blink with the lightening. Its going to be one of those nights where the best place is going to be under the covers - have not had one of those cool stormy nights for a long long time.

All is calm again now, oh! but that was a belter wasn't it. Luckily managed to avoid a soaking between bar-restaurant-bar- home .

Hola bon dia amigos, we were woken at 3am by the sound of torrential rain bouncing off the balcony railings and i don't think it's stopped since, it is also blowing a SW gale and it is cold. We are on yellow alert for heavy rain and it looks like remaining wet and windy until mid week.

It is baking today. So calm and quiet. Back home we'd rate it as a fabulous summer day.

Yolanda at Zarzales mentioned the other day that locally this weekend is referred to as the little summer after summer... How right she is!

It's turned out to be a fabulous Sunday afternoon in the Port now though.

It was grey and there were a couple of the lightest spits of rain at La Fira in the old town this morning but the weather generally is out of this world. It's a bloomin' nuisance I've got to return to old Blighty tonight for a few weeks.

It's going to be a struggle to get into the festive spirit after this!
