Nobody about and my car outside temperature is showing 3 !

Sparky is right! Winter is here.

Cheers

Hi Sparky
What is a coastal phenomena? I didn't think the tidal range was that excessive in the Med. Stay safe and put another log on the fire!!
Best wishes from the frozen north that is Hertfordshire
The Cowells

Hi Cowells, i have tried to find out what this "Coastal Phenomena" is ( it seems to be a Spanish thing) and the best explanation i have been able to come up with is that it's the equivalent to a "Squall", in other words, a sudden storm which can be quite violent and short lived .

Hola amigos. Phew what a night, went to Nostalgia and Maxims Bistros chairs were flying around the square. Anyway it is still blowing a hooligan this morning but at least it's dry (for now), orange and yellow alerts are still in force. It should calm down later today and the forecast is quite good until the end of the week when there will be rain, snow and high winds .
The pressure is 1018.
The temperature is 10c in the shade and 14c in the sun.
Yesterdays low was 3.6c and the high 9.5c.

Hola amigos. We have a lot of fine cloud this morning and it is calm and cold. It is looking more likely that we will have snow by the weekend and also very high winds, time to get another bottle of gas in i think .
The pressure is 1017.
The temperature is 5.6c.
Yesterdays low was 3.6c and the high was 16.8c.

February 1st.

Hola amigos. The sun was out earlier but the cloud has now built up and there is very little wind but all that is due to change later. An Orange alert has been issued for late today and tomorrow, this is for our old friend "Coastal phenomena" but there are also warnings of high winds and a cold snap over the next 5 or days .
The pressure is 1008.
The temperature 11.1c.
Yesterdays low was 8.7c and the high was 19.9c.

Well it is raining heavily and the wind is picking up but it's still a mild 10c atm.;)

It seems that by the weekend we could have snow on the beach!! Batten down the shutters, get out the thermals, dust off the extra radiator and pull up the duvet. The first real cold spell of the winter so we can barely complain.... but of course we will.

Im 100% electric which is fine until the electric goes off and then I cant even open up my shutters - which may be a good thing. Wrap up and stay inside with your Hubby.

We are fine JMD, have mostly electric but do also have a gas fire. I read a post by a friend on FaceBook, the poor thing has to have gas for hot water and he said that the gasman had run out .
